My daughter attended this school for a few months, and we ended up pulling her out. We come to find not one, not two, but three other families we know had sent their children there, and also pulled them mid year. There is nothing horrible about the school, but there are lots of small/medium things that added up to a big problem: the school does not encourage creativity. Children are told how to do art projects, which colors to use where, exactly where to put things, etc, so that every single project from the whole class is indistinguishable. Though they have a cook, the food they eat is largely prepackaged, including brightly colored (dyed) sweets every single day. Also the kids watch tv every day, both before and after lunch. Not sure why that was never on the daily sheet describing the activities, but come in just before or just after lunch, and you will surely see your children seated in front of a television set. Unlike the kids in these other reviews, and in stark contrast to the school we switched her to, my daughter was never excited to go here, and clung to me every morning when I dropped her off.
We are very pleased with CPMP. Our 2 year old has learned valuable social skills (he's an only child), how to pick up after himself, he talks so much more, he knows some of his letters, numbers, colors, etc. He loves going to school and gets sad on the days we happen to drive by and do not go. I'm so glad we chose to send him here.
This school is wonderful. I know what my son ate, what he did that day and notifications of good and poor behavior. I wish I found this place when he was 2yrs old. My son can count to 100 and recognize numbers 0 - 100, all shapes, letters, writing, science experiements. They really prepare the children for Kinder. before they go!
My son is 3 and in the "Funny Bunny" classroom and LOVES it! He is excited to go to school everyday and happy when he leaves. We can't wait until the Fall when our other son will attend the "Busy Bee" room! Two Thumbs Up!
My son attended christy park from the time he was 2 1/2 until 4 years old, and this was by far the absolute best start to an education he received! the staff at the school is outstanding, professional and well-versed on the montessori approach to learning! i wish the school went up to high school! i hated when my son had to leave the school and attend kindergarten somewhere else. I totally recommend this school to all parents and friends who are looking for a great foundation to their children's education!
