My daughter has been there since the age of two and recently finished to attend kindergarten in the public schools (age 5). Apple School provides an environment of stability (most of the teachers have been there for many years and even some former Apple School kids come back as assistant teachers decades later). It offers a somewhat diverse group of kids, has a good combination of structure and creative play time. We have been very pleased with Apple School and highly recommend it
The staff of Apple School are kind. My son attends before and after school (and full-time in the summer) and he looks forward to going. I don't worry about him while he is in their care
My daughter attended Apple School for four years and loved every minute of it. I was very impressed with the quality of teaching and the dedication of the staff in the development and learning of the kids. We were made to feel like family and that my daughter counted, I really loved that.
Academic program is good here. There is music ands art activities everyday, but no sports activities. Level od parent involvement is fair.
Our daughter recently joined the 2 year old room at Apple School. She had been with an in-home provider for the past year. We were completely amazed at how well she acclimatized to the change. When we went to visit, she didn't hesitate to go play with the other children. Add on the fact that the Head Teacher has been there for well over a decade and knows her kids. With the huge playground, a room that is much larger than anywhere else we looked, and the comfortable atmosphere, I would highly recommend Apple School. I might mention the reason that my daughter had an in-home provider was because when she was first introduced to a daycare setting she stayed sick for 5 months straight. She has caught a few things in ~2 months, but overall the kids seem to be healthier than my other experience.
This school offers a 30 minute music class. Parental involvement is minimal as many work either full or part-time. The school has big over-sized classrooms separted by age. Thematic learning with an emphasis on seasons, animals, and holidays. Structured learning includes name writing and recognition, knowledge of colors and shapes, calendar, and familiar songs. Beautiful, outdoor play area features custom-built, low to the ground bridges and slides. This area also has a large sand box, swing area, and grassy field. Room for improvement in parental involvement and sick child policy. Kids are allowed to come unless they have a fever or have an obvious contagious disease such as chicken pox. The director is very motherly and concerned about the happiness of the child. She knows each child by name. She is often flexible with part-time work schedules. A security-minded environment with sign-in and sign-out sheet. Overall, I am very pleased with this school.
