My child has been attending this daycare for a few years now. The facility is always very clean and picked up. There is always someone cleaning something when I am there to pick him up- which is great! I did have a problem with my child getting bitten more than once a week for a few months. The directors do their best to make sure everyone is treated fairly where the biting is concerned. They would never target a child as one of the reviews below mine says. -News Flash: if you child is being monitored more closely than most of the other children there is a reason! Grow up. Teach your child to listen and don't let them beat you up as your walking through the door every day. Its tough when my child turns to me and asks why your child is so mean to you and everyone else every morning. Don't blame the daycare for your childs lack of discipline. (That's not their job, its yours) Rant over- The only reason I gave this daycare 4 stars instead of 5 is because the teachers change more than I would like. This has been a great daycare for my little boy.
My child has been attending ABC since he was 8 weeks old and he is now 5 years old. This is a fantastic daycare/preschool. Janet Bentzinger, Bobbie Garcia, and Tania Buchanan are excellent. I feel like the education that he received at the preschool has prepared my son for kindergarten. They really take the time and help the children and the parents. The children are their main focus. I have used all of them as resources and highly recommend other parents do the same. He has had some wonderful teachers in the past. I will recommend this daycare/preschool to anyone who is looking for a safe school for their child to attend.
Janet Bentzinger is a terrible person and this day care should be shut down. She told us my child has a disability and demanded that her staff write every thing our child did in order to have him expelled from the day care. She has run off several staff members recently and discriminates against specific kids. One child specifically belongs to friends of hers, and will not allow staff to write documentation regarding his bullying of other students. When my child came home with bruises, cuts, bite marks, the staff conveniently did not see what happened, only what my child did in defense. When the other child's parent's complained, Janet had her staff target my child to build enough incident reports for forced removal. We did not believe ABC is a safe environment with such staff in place, and have found a new a safer day care. ABC is running on past reputation, and no on current success of child development.
The school overall seems very nice and clean. My son is always excited to go play with his friends when we arrive. My only concern the the daycares biting policy. My child had to learn not to bite and i understand that.....i taught him. He keeps coming home with bite marks, at least one or twice a week. ANY other daycare my child has attended expels children for this offense after a few warnings. Them not seeing which child keeps BITING my child is getting old. I mean i know he has to cry when it happens because his skin is bruised with teeth marks. Other than the biting problem....the facility is great.
This facility has an EXCELLENT baby day care. The newborn to 1 yr old teachers have been there for 5 years plus. Any issue was immediately dealt with. The facility consist of 2 buildings. The front building is new, houses the babies up to the young 2 year olds as well as the front office with 3 directors. The office has video monitors where they can see each room. The back building is old, ALWAYS smells bad and constant plumbing issues. This building houses the older 2 yr olds-4 yr olds. This is my area of complaint. The office does NOT show they same concern for the back building. There is constant turn over from the pre-school teaching staff, inconsistent lesson plans, poor communication with parents, old and dirty toys and ripped up books. I am looking for a new preschool for my son. I am never sure what my child is learning. He brings home a lot of coloring papers, but no worksheets or educational coloring sheets. I'm guessing there is the "keep them busy" approach. Overall, if I have a 3rd child, I would gladly bring him/her to the baby part of the daycare, but this gets 2 thumbs down for the pre-school.
