We've had our first son at the Visitation Child Care Center (VCCC) five days a week for several months now, and we couldn't be happier. It was really hard to be separate from him at first, but seeing how much he enjoys "school", and how much his teachers care for him, really makes it easier. The children at VCCC benefit from having access to a large private campus, lots of personal attention, caring staff, and intelligent administration. I love that in the warmer weather the children get to go for walks to a pond without leaving the private school grounds -- how many day care providers can offer that?! In the cold weather, they can also go for walks inside of the school or to the "large motor room", which is basically like a little gym for babies. Having all this extra space makes it easier for the staff to separate children who are noisy/active and children who need to nap. VCCC is more expensive than the other alternatives my wife and I considered, but I couldn't imagine a more worthwhile investment.
