I worked at GVCCC from 2005-2006 and loved it! I only left because I was moving far away. There is a sense of family that isn't often achieved in a child care center and I miss working there. The employees treat the kids like their own. I've worked in three other centers in two different states, and this was, by far, the best. The toddler room teaches children more than any others I've worked in. If I were to move back to Michigan, I'd enroll both of my daughters in a heartbeat! And beg for my old job back, too!
I'm a parent of two boys, currently 6 and almost 8, who have been attending GVCCC since they were about 6 months old. I was very afraid of leaving my baby at a daycare when I had to make the choice with my first. It is still never easy because I'd love to be a stay-at-home mom, but the teachers at GVCCC are wonderful and have been an extra family for my boys. They're secure there and have long-time friends that they've grown up with. We've never considered taking the boys anywhere else and feel so blessed that we've had GVCCC.
My lil girl is currently attending this daycare. She is part of the 'toddler' Room. The staff does an amazing job of taking care of my child, they helped get her potty trained in 3 days during the days and within 2 weeks she was off diapers all the time! She has been given so many positive experiences, and now she's Reading letters and writting her name. I am glad we made the choice to bring our child to G&V!
