Plymouth-Canton Montessori School

Our daughter is currently enrolled in the preschool program and also attends the before and after care at PCMS. We could not be happier with our choice. The staff is phenomenal; teachers, assistants, day care providers and office staff alike. Communication between the school and parents is open and honest. The children are taught foreign language (both Spanish and French) and music in addition to the traditional math, science, etc... My daughter came home saying "l'homme de neige" and could not only hum Vivaldi's Four Seasons but could name the piece and composer. PCMS teaches critical thinking skills and not memorization. Your child will learn to use reason and logic to solve everyday problems, and you will see them integrate these skills into their life outside of school. I encourage any interested parent to take a tour and observe the classroom. The staff is more than happy to accomodate. The facilities are completely adequate, but if you are "wowed" by big buildings, fancy signs and wall-to-wall tile, leave your preconceived notions at the door. PCMS does not have the industrial Home Depot look as newer schools do. Money is spent how it should be - on tthe children.

Great school. Teachers and aides are all great. I have 2 kids currently enrolled and will be sending my 2 year old next year. The facility is a bit tired but people are great.

PCMS is a great school. My son started at age 3 and could add before he turned 4. He was doing mathematical equations before age 5. For a 5 year old, he has a strong vocabulary, and is very good in math and science. In regards to the school, the staff is very nurturing and good with the children. I would definitely recommend this school!
