Little Folks Day School is a wonderful school! My 3 children attended this preschool and were very well-prepared for kindergarten. They each attended for 2 years starting when they were 3 years old. The teachers are attentive, well-educated, knowledgable, and love the children! I received daily reports on my children's activities. I spoke to the teachers each day at both drop off and pick up times. Additionally, a monthly newsletter is sent home with all of the children detailing the current activities in the classroom. My children could not wait to go to preschool. This school is a 10 !!
My daughter loved this school! She learned so much and made a lot of friends. The teachers are kind, caring and knowledgeable. The children are well-prepared when they enter kindergarten. I saw my child's teacher every day so I could receive feedback on her progress on a daily basis if I wanted it. We highly recommend this school!
What a wonderful experience! Both of my children attended this school and loved it. The staff is caring and concerned about each child. My children were well prepared for kindergarten and loved going to Little Folks!
This school has lived up to high expectations as it was highly recommended by both family and friends. I have seen how well my children and my friends' children have done over many years - elementary, middle, high school and even college. They all got their start at Little Folks! The teachers and principal are well-educated and care a great deal about the students and their progress. They also have immeasurable patience with not only the children but with parents as well. I would recommend this school to anyone who cares about a fun, safe, educational environment for their children.
Very little communication. Discipline techniques are archaic and abysmal. More of a daycare than a school. My child was having to 'learn' things she and most other 3 year olds already know like shapes and colors.
The teachers are loving, kind, and connected to the kids. I love the small size, but the disruptive kids are brutal and 'the boat doesn't like to be rocked' enough to discipline effectively. We attended our 2nd 'open house' night and there was nothing evaluative or informative about it. Our kids are safe, the teachers are kind, but additional structure and assessment tools for parents information is really necessary. Again, wonderful teachers and that makes a real difference.
My daughter attends this school. While the teachers are very apt and capable, some of the students are quite disruptive (my daughter often complains about one of the other students hitting her). The benefits to the school are that it is relatively small - such that all of the teachers know virtually all of the students -and that the kids get plenty of outdoor time, weather permitting. Ms. Jenn and Mrs. Frasso are patient, tolerant, kind and loving toward the kids. The field trips are great. The main drawback, besides some out of control kids, is that there is very little feedback given to parents. There is no formal method to give feedback on a weekly, or even monthly, basis. I would like to see an email detailing what my daughter has learned, how she is doing, what her likes/dislikes are.
