Our 3-year old is in the Purple room this year, and she is having a wonderful experience. She feels comfortable with and respects her teachers, she has made great friends, and she looks forward to school each day. As a parent, it has also been great. We really value the coop model, where parents take on important roles giving us unique opportunities to get to know the other families and help shape the direction and character of the school. Along with all of the other parents and children, we especially value the daily parent helper role in the classroom. The Purple Room curriculum is more play and experiential-based rather than academic, which what we wanted for our daughter at this point. The Yellow Room, which she will be in next year, adds in some educational elements, e.g. reading & writing. Of final note, it is true the parent responsibilities can be challenging at times, depending on what role you take. However, we find that aspect absolutely worthwhile.

WCNS is a fun, play-based preschool. It is a 5 morning program with extended day options to 1p or 3.15p The teachers are warm and caring and the parents are very involved through 'parent helping' in the classroom once a month and volunteering in various committees. The children spend at least an hour outside each day and have lots of time to run around. We have sent our oldest two children there and will send the baby when he is old enough. Really great school!
