If you are a parent who is looking for somewhere that is not just a school, but also place where your child is cared for, encouraged, and challenged in a small group environment with one-on-one attention, you needn't look any further. The director of this school is an expert in her field and has mentored some of the best early childhood teachers in the area. This is the best place if you have ever had that not-so-good feeling about walking into a daycare "center". They offer preschool, pre-K and kindergarten for up to 14 students total, which means that they offer various levels of learning with lots of individualized learning development programs. To offset having just two teachers every day, they bring in outside enrichment programs to educate the children in new and exciting ways. This is one of the best schools around!
It doesn't get better than this! An establishment where actual common sense traditional old school values, respect, patience and academics are cornerstone! The students LOVE being here. Watch your child's self confidence soar. My child could read well before entering K! Until a neighbor recommended Crescent Day, we were enrolled in a couple franchised daycare. I was not impressed as they seemed like commercial babysitting services.Unlike other schools, here qualified grown ups teach, not fill in co-op teens. I am so satisfied now, and have put 2 children in this school! (Lisa M. North Attleboro)
If you're looking for an alternative to day care businesses that do more babysitting than teaching, I URGE you to look at Crescent Day. Education at this school for 3-6 year-olds is paramount. There are 2 teachers and no more than 15 kids, so each gets plenty of individualized attention. They are able to give each child work that is appropriate for their level of learning and every pre-Kindergartener in my son's class was reading quite capably. They incorporate hands-on science experiments, Montessori-like self-correcting activities, spelling, handwriting, music, and social skills. The huge outdoor play area includes a tricycle track and play structure. The school itself is in a large room on the back of the owner's house. Though it is not shiny and new, it is clean. (And open even in inclement weather!) More importantly, the education that goes on inside is unparalleled. Don't pass it up.
loved it. very caring. dylan loves going
My son LOVES this school. The attention to each child is obvious. I receive feedback about my son without requesting it which is great. The bonus play area outside is great! I TRUST this school 100%
I put my son into this school for 3 years and never looked back. My other choices were small in-home daycares, and big business places. Neither paid much attention to him, not were they aware of every child's health. Instead of my son coming home sick, or needy, he came home excited about sign language, or a new story, or something else! For parents who are looking for flexibility in child watching (730a-6p) and reliability (even when schools are closed... plus kindergarten certified!) this is the best place possible!
We love crescent day. Our daughter went there for 2 years and now our son is starting. Excellent program, caring teachers!
