We had our 6 month old there till he made it into the 1 year old room. The infant room was passable considering all they need to do is feed them and keep them alive. We began to notice a trend of not necessarily giving the child care but making sue they followed their rule book and didn't get sued. If the situation was not covered in the rule book it was automatically denied or not allowed. In the 1 year old room things really went downhill. There were several incidents or accidents that can only have occurred with the lack of supervision. The interaction between teacher and children always felt more like risk management instead of child nurturing. After removing our child from there and enroll ing in another daycare we really noticed the difference in an establishment caring for your child and what the melrose YMCA child care provided.
