I had heard such wonderful comments regarding Oakland park. We went for a tour and liked the space and play area so enrolled our first child. Well we quickly learned that the school is great if your child fits their mold. Unknown at the time our child had special needs due to intense anxiety and sensory issues. They had no idea hwo to help and so much so as never gave the lead teacher her IEP. My heart breaks thinking back to that time and what our child dealt with and the unprofessionalism of the administrative staff. I would NEVER recommend this school. It is unfortunate that my childs first experience with school was here. After leaving and speaking to other parents our experience was confirmed.
My daughter attends OPCC and enjoys it tremendously. The staff is experienced, knowledgeable and kind. Their focus on learning through play is very effective. The environment is calm and offers a safe place for children to learn how to make friends, share, and get ready for kindergarten.
