We found the school to be somewhere between OK and fine. More fun activities along the lines of celebrations, performing arts for parents (singing, reciting), contests would have been nice. In the Transition-to-K class, the most challenging academics-related activities seem to be letter recognition, some basic counting, and gluing stuff. Sometimes children are made to narrate a little story of their own and the teacher writes it down. We caught spelling errors at least a couple of times. I may expect too much, but I believe that pre-school teachers too should demonstrate impeccable spelling. Given many children arrive at K already reading at advanced grades levels and with advanced math skills, you would think activities more conducive to that would be attempted in the Transition-to-K class. The staff though is friendly, involved and caring. Overall, it is a nice and pleasant place. The small size helps. Just don't expect anything top-of-the-line that would make your child an academic star in K. Unless you do all the work at home with a virtual pains-taking, homeschooling approach.
