The Gilmore Academy was a great school when it was open the talented and gifted had a great school the curriculum was great and my gransdson learned a lot from the teaching staff. I thought it should have stayed open. Parents were well informed of the progress of the student since moving to the Plouffe you don't get the same attention. Unfortunate that this had to change.

I am a student in the eighth grade at the new gilmore in the school of plouffe academy and the teachers are great and though some are a little to strict. they interact with you and help you learn the work even if it embarrasses you in front of the class and the rules fit the standards of the parents, teachers and students

I attended this school for both seventh and eighth grade and marvel at what it did for me. It prepared me to move on into a private highschool with a rigorous curriculum. The staff at Gilmore was absolutely fabulous. Not only did the staff know how to teach well, they interacted with the students on a daily basis, allowing them to get closer, developing a more personal relationship. Whenever I go back to visit the staff I hug them, both of us excited to see the other. Gilmore offers various oppurtunities and helps the students to excell in these. While there I participated in softball, drama, band, and student council. The band, under the direction of Mr. Kardel, is phenomenal. The Gilmore requires students to participate in both science fair and national history day, which I found to be a wonderful experience.I am pleased it was relocated to Plouffe Academy.

I'm a student at Gilmore Academy and I think the curriculum is great and the teachers are really supportive. I think I excell so much at this school because they challenge my knowledge so that the academics there won't be too easy for me. Sometimes the work can be stressful because the school challenges their students. But I believe that the mor challenging, the more you learn. Like one of Aristotle's famous quotes 'The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.'

Gilmore Academy is a great school. I wish the Brockton School Officials will consider not to close this school. They have great and dedicated teachers, and a good quality of education for the kids.

I would easily compare the quality education provided to a Boston Latin. Terrific and engaging teachers in an urban environment. I highly recommend The Gilmore Academy

My son has attended this school since 6th grade. He has done well there. I think he this school has a lot to offer as far as teaching and curriculum goes. I would recommend any parent to look into this school before going somewhere else.

What I like about the Gilmore Academy is that it is always bursting with activity - sports, drama, music, not to mention the excellent academic curriculum. And the teachers are totally interested in whatever they are doing, not just using up time.
