Step Ahead Kindergarten

The staff was shown all the ratings on this page. They were thrilled with the positive ones. They were to say the very least perplexed with the "screaming" one. We invite all parents to come and visit us ANYTIME. Our children love to come to school. They are nurtured and educated with kindness and care. We do not even have 'time out'. Our children are directed to other activities. We have two rules: 1. NO running in the building and 2, Be kind. Our children stand out in the upper grades of both public and private school. The only issue we have is that our students do not want to go home. They want to stay for extended day or until 6

I want to say how impressed I am with Step Ahead from a parent and a First Grade teacher point of view. The whole staff is truly dedicated and the kids LOVE being there. My oldest daughter went for Kindergarten and my youngest has just completed her second year with Nancy. My oldest was definitely prepared academically for first grade. My youngest is 4 and could be very successful in Kindergarten if she was 5 before the cutoff. We have grown to love all the staff members at Step Ahead and I know that they truly value my daughter as a person and not just a number in the room. I will be so sad when we have to leave Step Ahed.

What I exerienced today was shocking & horrible. In the hallway, I overheard a teacher SCREAMING at a child about writing the letter F This teacher was telling this child how much of a mess her "F's" with with a nasty, nasty attitude & was down right mean to this poor child. It was shocking & disgusting that anyone (never mind a teacher) could speak to a child, the way she did. A teacher is supposed to be a role model, who encourages learning. This was absolutely disgraceful. The director should be ashamed to have employed a teacher like this one.

A hidden gem! 2 of my children have graduated from step ahead & my daughter is currently enrolled! i wish this school would go up in grades so my children could stay. The dedicated staff & linda - director/owner work so hard with all of the children! regardless of your childs personality or learning abilities, this is the best school for the $. The science based program cannot be compared! the in-class science projects have the children excited every week to learn something new. Rumor has it, the braintree public school teachers fight over who is going to get the step ahead children in their 1st grade classes because they are so well prepared! my son has some special learning needs and needed special one on one attention. We sent him to step ahead for 3 years because of the excellent personal care he received!
