This center may be ok for children under 2 or older than 5, because the staff in those rooms are experienced and take good care of the children. But the 2, 3, and 4 year old classrooms are horrible. The staff usually sits around, doesn't interact with the children. Staff turnover is incredible. Sometimes the new teacher is ok, sometimes terrible. My child almost never brought home projects, not even crayon drawings. When asked, my child said the teacher threw the pictures away. When there were incidents at the school, the teacher usually said they didn't see it happen. Dealing with the director is nearly impossible as she barely speaks English and is very hard to communicate with. The last straw was when my child came home with a 103 degree fever and no one at the center even noticed that the child was sick.

My children went to this school for about 3 1/2 years. The best thing about Play and Learn is Ms. Jackie's class. She teaches the PK/K class. She teaches the PK kids the K curriculum since it is a combined class. My son was more than ready for K the following year. He is now reading on a upper 2nd grade level while in K thanks to Ms. Jackie. In the other rooms, the teachers were good but there were issues. There was a quick turn-over rate for teachers in the 2, 3 and 4 year old classes. Not sure why. Hopefully that has been resolved after a new director took over.

My son began at Play Center @ Community Place as a drop in. The staff made him feel at ease and he is considered one of the class when he is there. I would recommend Play Center to anyone looking for quality daycare.
