My daughter spent 3 years (from 2.5-5.5) at the Gardner School and we were extremely pleased with it. They have a set curriculum each week, so you know what your child is doing from day to day in each category (music, literacy, math and manipulatives, etc.). The activities are age-appropriate, while being tailored to each child's level of development. They welcomed parental involvement. When I had time, I would sit down and read to the kids, or my husband would take his guitar in and sing with them. My daughter also had some specific challenges and her teachers were very open to working with us and her so that she was receiving consistent feedback and direction both at school and at home. The pre-school curriculum was top-notch, and even during "summer camp" the year before Kindergarten, they continued with a Kindergarten-readiness program that was 2 hours a day. The school is not inexpensive, but it was worth every penny and then some. I just cannot say enough good things about it.
