My grandchildren are alumni of Ma's. They both attended from one year old till youngest started Kindergarten. This is an excellent daycare and preschool. I sincerely doubt you could find a better one. The staff is very caring. Any concerns are dealt with immediately in a kind, compassionate and professional manner. The preschool teaching was excellent. Both my grandchildren were well prepared for elementary education. They are both straight A students in Portage Township schools. Positive reinforcement was stressed at al times. We were greeted daily by staff and teachers. The children were always made to feel they were missed when they were absent. The programs were excellent. The teachers worked hard to make sure each child felt special.i could go on and on about what a great experience this was. We all miss the staff and thank them for being such important part of the children's lives!
Our 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 year old grand daughters have been attending Ma's Li'l Champs for 2 months and I am very pleased with the Teachers and Staff. They all are easy to talk to, very professional and good listeners. The staff has taken care of all my concerns and addresses everything professionally and quickly. Everyone there makes me and the girls welcome on a daily basis. This being my first experience with a daycare I am very happy I chose this one for our grand daughters. The girls love their teachers and the staff. They are learning a lot and experiencing many new and exciting things there. They never are scared nor do they ever tell me they don't want to go nor stay. That speaks for itself. To all the Staff, Thank you and keep up the good work.
My wife and I love Mas Lil Champs! My 2yr old daughter and 5yr old son are doiing great and learning alot.the Teachers and Staff are excellent and very professional! For the parent that said the staff is lazy and unprofessional are VERY WRONG!IF YOU DONT LIKE THE WAY THEY DO THINGS THEN DONT BRING YOUR KID AND I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT YOUR FAMILY THAT HOLD MASTERS DEGREES IN EDUCATION CAN DO A BETTER JOB!
My child has been attending Ma's Li'l Champs for two years! I could not be happier. The staff is so supportive and wonderful with my child. The office staff is always available if I should have questions or concerns. My child has learned so much at this center and I hope my other children will also attend Ma's Li'l Champs when it is time for them to go to preschool.
As a secondary school educator and a member of a family of educators, I know laziness when I see it. My child does the same cirriculum every year at this school. Because he is at Ma's Li'l Champs strictly for socialzation, I am willing to overlook the staff''s lack of professional behavior. He loves his playmates and his current room's "teachers." It is difficult to call his supervisors teachers when they do not hold advanced degrees. When I question an incident or procedure, I am made to feel as though something is wrong with me when it is the other way around. For example, my son was told to bring in a paint smock, yet he never wears it during art. Instead, he comes home with paint all over his clothes. I agree with the first parent's rating. The staff running this school are too busy texting, looking at magazines, and making personal plans to even welcome me when I come to pick up my son. Thankfully, my mother and my sister hold Master's in early childhood education. Wherever the curriculum lacks, they provide for my son's development. As I stated, my son attends for social development, and he is happy.
If you expect a strong pre-school curriculum then it's best you look elsewhere. The problem is that the owner is never on site nor is she interested in finding out what concerns the parents may have. The director and office staff are more interested in working on personal matters and smoking in the parking lot rather than focussing on what lesson plans the teachers should be working on. I quickly removed my child from this childcare cnter after giving them a try for 6 months. Must say, the facility was pretty clean.
