I have had my children at Kiddie Academy and now Goddard. And as someone who had been at many daycares since my daughter and I have moved from Boston, to Maryland, then Lafayette Indiana, and now Fishers Indiana, I can say that I have experience with daycares and know what good care looks like. My experience is that it always looks good on the surface, but you have to look deeper. Kiddie Academy was very good at selling their program, but in the end, there were a few things that I thought were just wrong (i.e. my daughter having to get water from the bathroom sink). I now have my kids at Goddard and while I do not agree with Goddard speaking negatively about other centers, I will definitely say that it is superior in care based on "my" experience at both centers. I actually loved the teachers at Kiddie Acadmey, especially the ones who cared for my one year old. I had no complaints about them. But, the school aged program had issues. I need both my kids to be good with the daycare, not just one. Now, both are. Both Kiddie Academy and Goddard can take lessons from "Burgett Learning Center" in Lfafyette, as we they have been one of the best daycares for all ages.
I toured this school yesterday and was horrified to hear all the negative things they were saying about Kiddie Academy a competitor down the street from them. I knew there had to be more to this so I toured Kiddie Academy to see for myself. Ultimately to my surprise I chose Kiddie Academy over Goddard. They had noting negative to say about Goddard and that's what I LOVED most of all, I ask to see what they would say. They talked about their own center, staff and children. I would never go anywhere that bad mouth there conpetitors the way Goddard did, so like another review that I saw basically the same as mine. Thank you for sending me to Kiddie Academy.
The Goddard School at 116th street and Brookschool is Awesome! The staff is very friendly and professional! The classrooms are bright and cheerful, and the whole school was very clean! I am very impressed with the curriculm, my daughters are speaking spanish, and even doing yoga! Being new to the area, I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful school for my daughters.
The Goddard School in Fishers has an o.k. program when it is followed. The classes are very small as far as square footage and the lunch menu offers little diversity. The staff is friendly yet, doesn't dress professional. Overall, I would rate this school 2.5 stars for working with what they have.
