My child attended the Discovery school since 2010 . Although he did fine academically, bullying and physical fighting was a huge problem, especially in the later elementary grades and middle school. Young, inexperienced teachers were overwhelmed with classroom responsibilities and lacking the maturity to deal social issues. If you are considering sending your kids to Discovery Charter School, be very careful; ask parents in the Chesterton what they think about Discovery, talk to the local community school teachers about the number of kids who've left Discovery and returned to the public schools (there are many). Don't know how this school received a 5 Star Rating.
My DD attends Discovery Cove and love it! She gets all the attention and care you would expect and then some! It makes me feel more comfortable about being at work knowing that she is happy and well cared for!
What a friendly staff! They really make it easy to leave my child each day. I know that she is well cared for.
