I agree that costs have risen and there is a fundraiser coming up. But, this is typical of other schools in the area as well. My child loves going to World of Rainbows. She will tell you she loves the food and all of her teachers. The children are well behaved and have appropriate supervision. (Something that her old school did not have.) I always feel that I am informed of what my child is learning and of what events are coming up. If you want your child in an environment where sensory exploration and developmentally appropriate play are used to reinforce academic skills then take your child to World of Rainbows. I like the projects my daughter takes home. I have even borrowed some of their ideas in my work with special needs children.
Costs escalate every year, to pay for rising costs, including employment, but employees do not get raises. There are constant fundraisers (for a for-profit company!) to "buy new equipment and toys" but the employees cannot tell me what is new. Their art projects now seem to consist of only paint handprints on paper (cute once in a while, but how about some creativity?). We used to love WOR, but now would advise anyway against going there.
