This is a fantastic school, even though we aren't the most financially well off, we sacrificed other things so that our child could continue going to this school. Pricing is only a little more than alot of daycare's would charge for full time care and while that was our plan when our daughter started there, there was no way we could take her out for Kindergarten after all that she learned in Pre-school. Our Daughter is now well above her grade level in alot of areas and is speaking some Spanish, Chinese and Japanese to boot. The Environment is very well rounded and safety is absolutely NOT an issue. Communication is also absolutely NOT an issue here, the teachers are very open and honest and any concerns you have about your child's development in areas will be taken to heart and they will work hard to address those areas. I tend to think of this school as a Montessori PLUS school as the added discipline and structure they add to the Montessori method (As compared to what I've heard about other schools) are a big added bonus to your child's development. We have endured some hardships in the recent years but this school has been a constant positive and has been a blessing.
I absolutely love this school and would recommended it to anyone! The teachers are extremely talented and very professional. The children are well taken care of according to montessori principles. Our children love the playground and especially the swimming pool during the summer time. It certainly is NOT a daycare as mentioned in one review. Added advantages are the teaching of Japanese and Spanish languages as well as diversity of students.
While this school has a great teacher and classroom environment it lacks of safety and communication. This is a school that best serve its purpose if you are looking for a preschool/day care. Should you choose to use it only as a preschool your child will not receive the 3 hours of enrichment that you sign up for. The principal is unprofessional and cannot take feedback, not even when it comes to safety. Policies for the school are one sided. You pick up your child 1 minute late and they charge you $1 per minute, yet they have no trouble starting the school day half hour late.
I can't imagine a better environment for my child. This school combines an outstanding academic foundation through the Montessori method of education with a warm family friendly atmosphere that makes this school a home away from home for the children.
The summer camp is outstanding! Very, very well supervised. Pre-school aged kids do traditional Montessori school in the mornings, a swim lesson every afternoon, and foreign language 4 days per week (2 days Spanish, 2 days of Japanese). Can't believe how much they learned over the summer! A terrific place with excellent teachers and aids.
The school underwent some reorganization. The pre-K teacher is wonderful. It is not structured like typical schools and that makes it perfect for deveoping your child's character as well as intellect. I just wish the school was bigger (and cheaper), so that my 5 year old good continue through grade school.
The preschool teacher is nice and skilled. However, she isn't really the decision maker for most of the logistics to run the school. It is highly disorganized compared to other preschools we have been to. I was concerned about safety of the children as there are times that they are unsupervised. If you want an overpriced daycare, this may be the place for you.
