West Suburban Montessori School

My son is finishing his first year at WSMS and we are very pleased with the experience he's had. His teacher and classroom assistant are phenomenal educators. He has grown in so many ways it would be impossible to list all of them here. There are a number of Montessori schools in the neighborhood and we certainly did our research prior to deciding on this one. We feel fortunate to have him enrolled in such a nurturing and supportive preschool.

Our child started full time at West Suburban this year. It has an excellent Montessori program with wonderful instructors, facilities and administration. They have great additional classes and programs, especially the after-care which is in an amazing facility where the children can play in a safe, secure and fun environment which is especially great for working parents like us. The school also has wonderful parent involvement including events and activities. West Suburban has a fantastic community and we feel fortunate that our child is enrolled here.

Isn't it surprising that out of 11 reviews 9 has been written in just a span of a month ( Jan 14, 2010 - Feb 15, 2010) and more over, 4 has been written on the same day ( Jan 14, 2010).

Our child attended two other play-based preschools before she began at West Suburban. We were never quite satisfied with the educational programs at her first two schools. Within the first few weeks of the school year at West Suburban, we were surprised by the leaps and bounds that our daughter was making in so many areas. The school is simply amazing because the parents are very involved, and the staff is very dedicated. They offer lots of flexibility to meet the needs of modern families, and the extra-curricular classes round out the program. We are very pleased so far, and are most impressed to find a preschool that takes preschool education seriously.

Both my 3 and 4 year old went to this school until we moved out of the area. I think the hardest part for my kids was leaving this great school. They both loved their friends and teachers and actually looked forward to going to school every day.

This is my daughter's third year at WSMS, and it is a terrific place to send your child. Perhaps its most outstanding feature is the dedication and commitment of the people who work there; they truly have the children s best interests at heart. The degree to which my daughter has developed both intellectually and emotionally during the last three years is due in no small part to their efforts. Before and after the school day, as well as in the summer, WSMS also provides very fine child care. In addition, every day of the week a different, optional, extra-curricular activity (dance, music, gym etc.) is offered in the afternoon for an extra fee. It is wonderfully reassuring for me to know that while she is there, my daughter is happy in a safe and stimulating environment.

The school offers a unique combination: complete commitment to the children's intellectual, emotional, and physical needs, along with a true understanding of a working parent's needs. I absolutely cannot think of one thing I would change about this school.

Our son is in his second year at WSMS and we are thrilled with his progress. We plan to send our daughter next year. In addition to being a great, and affordable, Montessori school, the school also has a wonderful community feel. We feel lucky to be a part of the WSMS community. What a wonderful staff, student body, and great parents. Big thumbs up...and a special call-out to our son's teacher, Mrs. Wasik. Highly recommend this school.

Great school; fabulous teachers who inspire a love of learning, excellent childcare staff and a welcoming & involved parent community. My children are safe, happy and loved at WSMS.

This is a fabulous school; great teachers, great environment and excellent childcare program. Our two children have grown so much and have loved going to school at WSMS. I can't say enough about how wonderful it is!
