This school is great! My daughter has been going here for the past school year and she loves it. Everyone is nice and caring. After a month of coming here my daughter learned how to write, and had no interest in it before (except for her name). We are choosing this school through kindergarten for all three of our children. It is truly a great school.
Our son attended school for 3 years at FLC. We were very pleased with everything about this school. Our son learned so much and truly enjoyed going to school each and every day. If the school continued on past Kindergarten he would still be attending there today. Thank you for giving our son such a wonderful start in his school life!!!
My son recently completed his first year of preschool at the Franciscan Learning Center. The staff and parents create an atmosphere that promotes personal and spiritual growth. In my opinion the curriculum is second to none. The Franciscan Learning Center exceeds our expectations and we could not be more satisfied with our decision to send our children to this school.
My wife runs a catholic preschool in Michigan. Consequently we are fully aware of when a school is proper place for young children. without question we believe that the FLC is an outstanding facility is every way. if a parent found that the facility was appropriate for their child there is great likelihood that the child and/or the parents are at fault, certainly not the fault of the teachers, nuns and administration at the FLC.
From an outsiders point of view the school is clean with an interesting curriculum. However, our personal experience led us to believe that the nuns that teach here are shockingly behind the times when it comes to nurturing the emotional health and growth of the individual children. Our child was extremely unhappy here, to the point of acting up at home in a very uncharacteristic manner while attending this school. Our personal experience and communications with the teaching staff were also extremely unsatisfactory. After our child began to attend another school, where she was very well looked after and successful, the negative behavior completely stopped. I cannot recommend this school on any level.
Making new friends, learning about the world around them, as well as developing a desire to make a difference are the main reason I give the sisters from FLC 5 stars. Education is more than the ABC's and 123, and they understand that, and extend to the children a chance to develop a moral compass that will guide them through their entire lives.
