Grayslake Area Co-Op Nursery School

My oldest son has been here for 3 years and it has been a true treat to see him grow. I love how involved you can be as a parent, and the teachers/staff are wonderful and truly care about the well being of your child. I look forward to my younger son starting here next year!

This is such a special place. The children learn so much and because of the parent involvement we have made life long friends. They offer classes for ages 2-6. The Prek/Kindy enrichment class is by far the best in town.

I have had children at GCNS for each of the last five years, and I can say with complete confidence that it is an exceptional school, and you won't find another preschool run by a more capable, dedicated group of people. The teachers at GCNS are certified teachers--something that isn't a guarantee at other schools. My children have emerged from GCNS ready for kindergarten, and with a love for learning and exploring. Because it is a cooperative, I feel a real connection to my children's education. I've had the opportunity to be in the classroom with my children several times each school year, and the delight on their faces when they know it's their 'Helper Day' is priceless. A cooperative preschool, with certified teachers, in an environment where children feel safe and loved and nurtured...it can't get much better than this.

My children truly enjoy going to school. The teachers are caring and fun, and they get to be silly with their friends. All while learning how to share, be nice, turns, as well as their letters, numbers shapes. Curriculum is theme-based, so the stories, crafts and sometimes even the snacks are reinforcing the lesson bring taught. I love that it is a co-op I love to be in the classroom and see how my child interacts and learns. The other families are very friendly and also committed to raising bright, well-rounded children. The facilities are very clean and fun. I would highly recommend this preschool to anyone looking for a great start to your child's school-based education.
