My son has been attending Montessori Pathways for the past year. I ve been teaching my son practically since his birth, making sure that he is developing properly and learning. I taught him how to read, write and count. However, one day while doing some math problems, he looked up and told me I hate math. The route memorization had tired him out. When I turned over to the Montessori Pathways staff, they told me he needs time to take interest in math and rather than being pushed to learn, he needs to want to do it. After a fairly quick adaptation to the school, I was told that he is once again working in the math area. His progress in Montessori Pathways has been incredible and his favorite areas now are the language and math areas! We were also concerned about the fact that English is his second language and upon entering Montessori Pathways, he was not completely fluent. The school turned out to be a true family and he adapted without any problem or hesitation regarding his language.
I love this school. I love the Montessori teachings and respect. I love that my child learns to think and do things independantly. He is learning things I started to learn in the 1st grade! The teachers are so nice and dedicated and caring.
My children have been at Montessori Pathways for several years. I've looked at several montessori schools in the area and really liked Pathways the best. They have a 5 day program that allows the child to really get exposed to the Montessori teachings and gain a real sense of community. The biggest plus is their extended day program. Children have lunch together and stay at school until 1:45. Really great when getting your child ready for Kindergarten by experiencing longer days. The montessori certified staff is wonderful! Passionate, dedicated teachers.
Excellent school. We sent both our children to this school (two years apart). Karen and Nijole were great to deal with and the teachers were wonderful. It was hard to get the kids to come home!
