While the grounds and facilities are unbeatable at this school, I feel the biggest reason why it deserves a poor rating is that the overall lack of communication and follow through on behalf of faculty and administration. In matters of parent -teacher relationships, there is no follow through by teachers on both positive or constructive feedback re child development or parent requests; teachers are slow to return phone calls; and while the school is designed to nurture each child on his/her own path of development, the faculty have a long way to go in following what they preach. Judgments are made, favorites are played and unless you are a big donor to the school, don't expect any courtesies beyond initial registration. After two and a half years we are extremely disappointed in the lack of communication about our child's progress, development, or even what goes on in the classroom. At this hefty price tag, every child deserves better. We are and remain disappointed in the school and its faculty and adminsitration

This is a terrific school my daughter and son attended for 4 years and then we had to unfortunately move to another state. The teachers are fantastic with excellent communication with the students and parents and truly know and care for each child. The Director is a very commited to a top notch true Montessori expereince and is open to parent communication and involvement. The montessori materials are abundant and of excellent quality. The variety of outdoor space is unique, beautiful, and varied..including woods, sand boxes, swimming pool, tree house, sledding hill, etc. The elementary program is top notch, as good as if not better than the other private schools in the area when comparing the actual cirriculum. The children developed a love of love learning, & learned a lot of advanced materials without the pressure or burden of lots of homework. There is a true respect for children's ability to learn any material despite their age. Both of my kids were doing work in all subjects that was being taught 2-3 grades later in public school. We truly miss this school & recommend it highly for anyone seeking an exceptional education with a family like caring, nuturing environment.

Despite the fact that there are closer Montessori schools (and other fine preschool programs) in our home town, my wife and I drive 20 mins each day out of our way to take our children to Seton. There are numerous reasons why - the facilities are top-notch, the outside space is exceptional, the hours are good, they have a wholesome hot lunch program, etc. - other schools have these amenities as well. The real reason is the staff; they are an outstanding group of professionals who care for children and help them grow into productive members of society. If you want your child to grow into a good, caring, and productive adult, there is no better place for them to get their start than Seton. I only wish every child had the start that these children get - we would all be living in a much better world.

This school cares for the whole child, mentally, physically and emotionally. The environment is very calm and serene, with picturesque views of their wooded lot from every classroom. The classroom materials are of the highest quality and mostly made from natural materials. They offer organic lunch, a Spanish immersion program, and even swimming every day during summer camp. The staff is highly qualified, as this is also a teacher training facility.
