I have 3 children and all of them attended this excellent school. My daughter is only 5 and she is reading on a 3RD GRADE LEVEL! I love how advanced the curriculum is and yes I say curriculum because that is exactly what this daycare is all about My chil.dren knew their ABC's in English, Spanish, and sign language by the age of 3. They were counting money, telling time, and knew every state and it's capital by 5. I have nothing bad to say about this school! I will forever be greatful for them helping me set a strong foundation for education in my children's lives!

Grandma Jones is the best! When it comes to the kids that is their focus. The children are so advanced. Never heard anything negative about them. They came highly recommended by my co worker. Warm environment, smiling faces every morning when I get there! My child has been there for 3 months and I have seen a difference already. I can't wait to see what the future holds for my child. I am so excited!

Increasingly ghetto! Lack of quality leadership! Our child's been here since an infant, and is now in his last year there (thankfully). We were very pleased at first, but over the years have seen a sharp decline in quality here, mostly from the top-down. The director is ignorant and rude, and while she has never gotten that way with me, I've witnessed the eye-rolling, neck-rolling, foul-mouthed childish way she speaks to certain staff members and even parents. They don't have that many children there anymore and the ownership has some money issues (tax trouble), so I can see why she must be so stressed but she is clearly the biggest negative for this place. Once she even started bad-mouthing a parent just minutes after she walked out with her kid, which is in really poor taste right there in front of other parents and kids. My wife noticed our child's class covers the same stuff he was learning 2 years ago and they seem stuck on the same dozen or so Spanish words. We have tried speaking with the owner (the director's mom), but they are more focused on qualifying for more state funds and childcare initiative award children. Sad to see this place go down like this.

My son has been at Grandma Jones Day Care since he was 6mos. I'm a late bloomer I had him at the ripe age of 39. I was sooooo nervous leaving my first born with strangers. Strangers that were highly recommended. They allowed me to do pop in's (to peek around corners and watch him). They not once told me that my 20 phone calls to check on him was too much. He's older now. At the age of 2 he was fully potty trained. At age 2 he knew how to spell his name, his ABC's, can count to 40, the months of the year(also in spanish), the day's of the week, his color's and he knew how to say them in spanish. I didn't qualify for child care innitiative program but it broke my hard when the State cut funding to the day care's. These kid's are our future. They are like sponges and Grandma Jones Day is supplying a lot of knowledge. The perfect start for you toddler. He's now 4 and writting his name. Very satisfied!!!!!!!!

This is a great school. Everywhere my child goes she is complimented on how bright she is. She has been with this school since she was 15 months. The staff is friendly, the administration is very understanding and the environment is welcoming. My husband and I couldn't ask for a better school.

Excellent school!!! My husband says I am hard to please, but I can't find anything to complain about. The environment is structured, the teachers are full of excitement and the owner is very understanding. She is personalble and easy to talk to. I read the negative review and I feel the exact opposite. I have not come across anyone that is rude. People have to remember that running a business is difficult. You can't please everyone, but I am 100% satisfied with the care that my son receives. I would not trade them for the world.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
