This school is so organized and really engages the children in meaningful and educational activities. They are kind without being imposing, too pushy, or personal. The kids have so much fun that they do not realize they are learning. Lots of fun educational trips. My daughter is really smart; we're glad that they took note of her potential, without pushing her. No comments about being lazy as with the other Montessori School we sent our son to. Our daughter started learning letter blends as part of her overall phonics education. When we noticed regression in our son, we decided to switch our daughter to NSMS-& we do not regret the decision we made. When they were attending their previous school, my sister felt troubled & ask me if our kids were learning blends and phonics, etc.I would not be able to answer her. Now I can-so glad we found this great school. My mom who was very worried about their previous school has no complaints now; that in itself serves as accolades for BSMS! My daughter can read, is beginning to even write short words, and of course her name, very well. If we could turn back time we would with our son! We love NSMS. May be expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Great teachers and a great student-to-teacher ratio. My children have learned a great deal in this wonderful environment. But it's expensive - lots of weeks off for the full-day program which is very tough on working parents. And the administration is very difficult to deal with.

Our son has been at NSMS since he was about 3 1/2 yrs old. It has been such a good experience sending him here, that we kept him here for his Kindergarten year. He graduates Kindergarten in May. The environment is very nurturing and encouraging. The teachers and aides are wonderful. It's not just a job for them. They enjoy being here just as much as the children- and it shows! 'Follow the Child' is the Montessori philosophy, and it is through this belief our son is reading, writing, mastering math (addition, sub, multiplication) all before first grade. A lot of the things he learns at school, he chooses to do at home without any prompting from his parents. It's a great school, and the parents make it a community. Lots of activities for the children and parents.

We really love this school. Out of the many schools that I contacted for pre-school and kindergarten, this school has the lowest student to teacher ratio. For a classroom that has 20 kids, there is one head teacher and two aides. Other schools have one head teacher and one aide, or a 1:10 teacher to student ratio. The teachers are so warm, nurturing and patient! They recognize each child as an individual and foster each child's unique qualities. The school offers many extra-curricular activities: Spanish and music are included in the tuition, while soccer, yoga, sign-language & gymnastics are extra. We love the school so much that we chose to send him to NSMS for kindergarten instead of the local public school. He was reading before he entered kindergarten, has mastered addition and subtraction and is currently learning the basics of multiplication. The school community is great. A lot of the moms in my son's classroom get together for a mom's night about every other month, and the families are very supportive of each other. We are so happy with this school!

Our three kids have attended this school. The youngest is still there. The teachers are excellent and really care about our children. The school is in a beautiful surrounding. LOVE the Montessori philosophy.
