Parent Participation Nursery5

This little school is absolutely wonderful. I have fallen in love with it over and over again. My second child is now attending and I will be sad when we have to go. Parents are required to participate in two school days a month, which gives the opportunity for parents to transition into the new world of their little one going off to school (we like to think the transition is for the kids, but I think in most cases it is for the parents - either way, it is fantastic). By participating in school days and being responsible for cleaning and maintaining the school, parents create an amazing community where everyone really knows everyone and cares about each other. You get to see first hand how your child interacts with others, how the teachers are working with your child, and how your child overall is adjusting to his/her entrance into school. This school treats everyone as an individual, not a number, and embraces your involvement with your child and the school. This school was recommended to me by someone who sent their children 15 years ago. Today, I recommend it to everyone!
The second I walked into PPNS I was overcome with a sense of calm, the house was completely designed to be a preschool and the backyard was a wonderful play area with different zones for the kids to experience including a huge sand box under a beautiful mango tree. It was explained that the parents participate several times a month and are always welcome to stay thru out the day until their child is more comfortable with his/her environment. I enrolled my child into the summer school program first and stayed every day assisting and helping out were needed. What a wonderful experience it was to get to know all these precious children and their parents, participate in circle time, learn all the nursery rhymes and help out at lunch time or help organize their play activities. We enjoyed the environment and the creative teachers for almost two years. PPNS was a perfect fit for us, we absolutely loved our experience there and would highly recommend it to any family searching for a great little pre-school.
We are pleased to have found this cozy, safe, and supportive environment for our 2-year old. While you need the ability to put in participation time, you will be rewarded with reduced fees and happy, creative, and secure children. we looked at many schools, and were turned off by the conventional and often religious classroom settings and by the regimentation. So far so good, here.
