Cross Of Life Montessori School5

My children have been going to Cross of Life Montessori for 3 years. After deciding that we wanted to do a Montessori Pre-k, I toured many Montessori schools. By far, this school had the most loving and nurturing environment. It feels like a pre-k school, not a daycare like many of the other places I encountered. It's going to be tough to leave the wonderful teachers and community of mom's when my kids go off to 1st grade.
Cross of Life Montessori is a unique and amazing school. It is an AMI recognized school and offers faith-based education, which is hard to find in a Montessori environment. This school is small which means they can be very accommodating and flexible depending upon the needs of the child and the family. The community at the school is friendly, welcoming, and loving. My daughter enrolled in the toddler program this year and the school has far exceeded our expectations. We are amazed at the things my daughter is learning and by how much she LOVES going to school. This school is one of a kind and a true gem!
Two of our children attend this school. Initially, we chose COLCMS because it is one of the few AMI accredited Montessori schools in the area. It also offers a Christian learning environment. We have been very pleased; the quality of the education in both Toddler & Primary classes has been exceptional. There is an emphasis on intellectual learning but with a spiritual component that has resonated with my kids and our family. The teachers & administration are highly qualified, wonderful, caring people. The hot lunch program (in partnership with Harry s Farmers Market Whole Foods) is amazing and has been very convenient. I prefer my children to eat organic/non-GMO foods, and couldn t find any other school that could match the quality. There are several kids with food allergies (gluten/nuts, etc.) and they are very supportive. We ve found the families to be just great people and the children are respectful, inquisitive and kind to each other - something that is reinforced within the school. There are several siblings enrolled and it is amazing to see how well they get along with each other. We highly recommend COLCMs!
This school has been a wonderful nurturing place for my children! They love to go to school everyday. The campus is beautiful and the classrooms are well equipped. My kids love their teacher and I am constantly amazed by the things they are learning.
The school offers a traditional montessori education. The facilities and materials are of high quality, but largely donated by families and church sponsorship. Daily care and maintenance (floors, bathrooms, etc.) is inconsistent. Although the teachers are loving and dedicated, the leadership has changed in recent years. Certain services found at other private montessori schools are not offered (hot lunch, before school care, school nurse, office staff, etc.) but a Stay and Play option is available. Small class size is a plus, but the room size is small. The outside play area is a natural area and not a true play space.
We are glad that me moved our daughter into this Montessori school. The school is smaller in size and thus very nurturing, with a family feel. A great small community for our daughter to thrive in emotionally, socially and academically. The progress she has made since August is tremendous. Outstanding and highly qualified Montessori teachers and school leadership! Plus the facility is wonderful - light, bright, easy outdoor access and a tranquil setting. We couldn't wish for more. Even our 1st grader wishes he could go to his sister's school!
