We chose the Ford Academy for childcare 5 years ago and, between our 3 children, we have been through every classroom multiple times. The caregivers in the infant rooms are great. I've always felt secure leaving my babies with them and I can see they truly love what they do. Each day, you receive a sheet detailing meals, diaper changes, naps, mood, etc. My children learned so much in the 2yr old class. There's a big emphasis on potty training right from the start, the kids learned their shapes, colors, ABCs, and much more. The head teacher in the 2yr old class has a special gift with children and they love her. The 3yr old class is kind of an intro to pre-k. The kids go on field trips, they bring in letter-themed items each week for show and tell, etc. Our children loved looking for things around the house that started with a specific letter to show their classmates. The pre-k class is exceptional. The teacher introduces reading to the kids and works with them using sight words. The field trips are all included in the tuition and they go to some fun places: movies, inflatables, gymnastics, etc. Big emphasis on Christian values, manners, and learning.
I cannot write enough great things about the Ford Academy! Both of our daughters attend here and the care-givers/instructors are excellent. Our three year old has not only learned her ABCs over the past half year but can also identify letters no matter where we are. She has now taken to spelling words own here own. Plus the care and attention paid to our infant is far superior to what is expected. As a Christian family, their emphasis on meal-time prayer and high standard of conduct are consistent with how we are raising our children.
