- a teacher
I worked for Gingerbread House for over a year. Once Brooke Day ( the director) left, due to how poorly she was treated, the daycare became extremely unprofessional. The director, Tiffany is a crude person and her personal hygiene is repulsive. She once worked in the kitchen while she had Pneumonia PREPARING THE CHILDREN S FOOD! Over the year that I worked there, we probably washed the stuffed animals 5 times. The teachers are not required to deep clean in order to prevent sickness. Yvonne Cochran is so greedy she accepts too many children into her daycare. The teachers are often out numbered. That is against the law!!! Yvonne is an extremely greedy person and does not care about the children who attend her daycare. She cares about the money she can pocket in order support her lifestyle. She closed the center for a week, did not pay her employees, but the parents HAD to pay their dues!! So for all of the parents out there looking for a daycare, stay away. She can put on a nice fake smile and pretend very well. I would never send my child there. I am so glad I experienced the sneaky ways of this daycare so that I know what to look for when I enroll my child somewhere ELSE.
My son is in their Pre-K program and he loves it. They have music appreciation, Spanish as well as other basics that will prepare him for Kindergarten. He is even learning to read in their reading program. The ladies in the office are wonderful and everyone is always polite and you can tell that they genuinely care for the children.
My child has attended the GBH since he was 2 and is now 11! I love it, he loves it. They teach them about God, shapes, colors, math, social skills, music, spanish, sign language and all kinds of things I probably never knew.
