Open Arms is a wonderful school. It has very low teacher turnover rate, low teacher to child class ratios, very clean and the teachers are very caring and listen. Other area schools, such as the Chastain School, have very high teacher turnover. At Open Arms, there are a number of teachers who have been there for more than 15 yrs. Very happy and both my kids love the school, teachers and friends.

We had our son enrolled here from the time he was 4 months old until 2 years of age. The first red flag was when I walked in and found the teacher holding my son who was about 1 year old at the time in the air by one arm telling he him wasn't being funny (apparently he was pushing the cribs around and she wasn't happy with that). The second red flag was when my husband went to pick up our son and the teacher had all the toddlers strapped in a red buggy cart just sitting there in the classroom while she talked on her cellphone. In both instances, we talked with the director but it never went farther than that.

We enjoyed having our children at Open Arms in Buckhead. Both kids started as babies about 4 months old and were there until I stopped working: daughter was 3, son was just past a year. we found the staff very caring, knowledgeable, and truly interested in partnering with us to take care of our kids and guide them as they grew. We found leadership to be responsive about our few concerns when we had them. The campus is a beautiful, wooded setting and the outdoor play areas are augmented by the large play space in the church's front yard. We felt particularly comfortable with the experienced teachers and the way the center paired them with newer teachers for a nice balance in each room. Terrific place where you can be confident your child will be appreciated for who they already are and who they're becoming.
