We're a long time family at Open Arms Buckhead with 3 kids attending. We are particularly happy with the Pre-K program as it provided great preparation for Kindergarten. The After-School program has provided our kids with connections to friends they met when they were babies. We love that Open Arms Buckhead is a church program and that the robust Parent Rep organization creates a really family-friendly environment with multiple events throughout the year to connect with other working families and provide support to the school.

I'm not sure about which age group the teacher turnover was in that was mentioned in a different review, but I have a very different story. I have two sons who attend. The oldest has been with his new teacher since August when he moved up into the next class. He had been with his previous teacher for a year. My youngest has been with his teacher for a year as well. He will be moving into the next age group soon. I had this daycare recommended to me. The teachers are caring and excellent. Many teachers have been there for a very long time. I understand that it's hard to leave your children with anyone, but I feel confident that my children are not only safe but cared for very much.

Six teachers in one year. NO teachers have degrees and the turnover in administration has been a series of jokes. I wish there was a negative star. If you love your kid, get out and go to a real school. Sad for the kids still there.

Open Arms is a wonderful school. It has very low teacher turnover rate, low teacher to child class ratios, very clean and the teachers are very caring and listen. Other area schools, such as the Chastain School, have very high teacher turnover. At Open Arms, there are a number of teachers who have been there for more than 15 yrs. Very happy and both my kids love the school, teachers and friends.

We had our son enrolled here from the time he was 4 months old until 2 years of age. The first red flag was when I walked in and found the teacher holding my son who was about 1 year old at the time in the air by one arm telling he him wasn't being funny (apparently he was pushing the cribs around and she wasn't happy with that). The second red flag was when my husband went to pick up our son and the teacher had all the toddlers strapped in a red buggy cart just sitting there in the classroom while she talked on her cellphone. In both instances, we talked with the director but it never went farther than that.

We enjoyed having our children at Open Arms in Buckhead. Both kids started as babies about 4 months old and were there until I stopped working: daughter was 3, son was just past a year. we found the staff very caring, knowledgeable, and truly interested in partnering with us to take care of our kids and guide them as they grew. We found leadership to be responsive about our few concerns when we had them. The campus is a beautiful, wooded setting and the outdoor play areas are augmented by the large play space in the church's front yard. We felt particularly comfortable with the experienced teachers and the way the center paired them with newer teachers for a nice balance in each room. Terrific place where you can be confident your child will be appreciated for who they already are and who they're becoming.
