Today is my son's last day at Andover Academy, and I am suuuper sad. This is a "logistics" decision. We are not moving our son because I found a "better" daycare, but because I found one closer to work that will work better for me. He started at the babies room, and now he is in the 2's. He has learned a lot. He is 2.6 years old and is fully potty train, and trust me not because of me, and he was never pressured. His teacher identified the opportunity, consulted with me, I agreed, and here we are one month later using diapers at night only. This is one example of good teaching skills from the personnel at the school. All in all, the teachers are very welcoming with kids and parents. Facilities are very clean.

I brought my son, a toddler, to Andover Academy in August after his old school hurt him emotionally. Since he has been at this school he has thrived. His language has tripled. His teachers focus on him as an individual and what he needs to do to work on fine and gross motor skills. We love what Andover stands for and believes in educationally. Every day when i ask my son what he did at school he says "play with toys". As a teacher I know that he is learning great skills from centers! Thank you Andover Academy, I'm so glad we found you.

My child was enrolled for over a month but they were not friendly. My child was NOT EXCITED about going to daycare anymore. They would not greet you, unless you greeted first; They claimed I had not paid 1/2 week tuition after my child was out for a week because he injured his foot. I had paid the entire week on Friday (because tuition is due before the week even starts - they do not issue receipts after payment, and do not take credit cards, only cash or checks) The assistant director had me wait while she called the accountant to verify if I had paid. The accountant told her that in fact he did have the check but she did not even apologize to me. The whole environment was cold, and it seemed like they were more concerned about money than children. When arriving to pick up my child, there were teachers standing around, but not interacting with the children. They do not warm up children's food; they do not even have a refrigerator for their milk or dairy products. They lost the bag where my set of sheet and blanket went in, and daily the lunch box was wet, and dirty because they did not store away things properly, they just threw their containers in there however they fell inside.

My son just graduated the VPK program at Andover... 1st I'd like to say, I had my son in another "top notch" day care at the age of 2 1/2... I was told that "I was setting him up for failure" because I would bring him in at 10 not 9... ridiculous! He was only 2... they were a bunch of whip crackers and there was always a tense feeling there. Andover has it all... A fun and loving staff, an immaculate environment and a curriculum that fosters a love to learn attitude... I always felt peaceful knowing my son was in good hands.

My 9 month old has been going there for 3 1/2 months. She loves it. The true test is transition from infant to 1 year olds!

After visiting over 30 schools in the area I finally found school that had it all. Clean environment, caring staff and great curriculum that place an emphasis on learning but also understand that having fun is important. My daughter is having a blast, and I am not worried all day at work. I am truly happy that I found Andover.

A colleague from work referred me to Andover when I moved to South Florida. I had my older son two at the time at another school in the area and was not satisfied. I am glad that I switched him to Andover. My other child is also attending Andover and I am please with their development, the management and the teachers.

I have both children enrolled. I am extremely pleased with my children's progress thus far. However, ownership has changed recently and staff turnover has been high as of late. I don't believe the new owners are replacing the highly qualified teachers that are leaving with the same type of high quality professionals. I am skeptical that they are headed in the right direction in regards to the highly qualified teachers they have maintained in the past. Nevertheless, it is a great school. Compared to other schools in the area, I would say it is top tier. I will dare to say that this may not be the case two to three years from now due to the direction the ownership seems to be taking. This posting date is June 2005.
