We as a family, have to write a review for this wonderful blessing we encountered while our daughter attended Primary Prep last year. After removing her from a Montessori Program that just wasn't the right fit for her, we found that it was the best decision for our daughter, our family, and our schedules. In the beginning, we bagan having our own personal bumps in the road with our daughter (acting out), but this school welcomed us with open arms and great understanding. Jan Hodges, Director, as well as her teachers single handedly made our little girl into a bright and loving leader. We all came together, created a plan, and took action. We were impressed with the one-on-one attention they gave our whole family, not just our daughter. She learned to read, write, and behave like a little person should at her age. Parents, this is a MUST-GO-TO preschool for your children.

I just absolutely love this school, as well as my son! He made a lot of friends there, and the kids are so well-behaived and organized there. Teachers are amazing, they are really involved in each child and his/her developmental progress. And especially I love the owner and director of the school, Jan! She is wonderful, she definitely puts her heart into working with kids, she feels so responsible for each child, for his/her learning process. She is full of great ideas how to turn every day learning into fun and memorable experience. And she is always there! Plus she first meets a parent and asks about the child, his/her personality, etc. She knows all the parents and kids by name. It makes it like a big family. Thank you, Jan! They make pictures of kids throughout the years they attend, and then they even have graduation ceremony and they give a photo album full of those pics to parents to keep. It is so precious! The facility is always clean and well kept, the yard is huge, a lot of room for kids to run around. Then the teachers line all the kids up to wash hands after outside. My son hasn't been sick in a while, unlike the schools before. It is the best school around! I love it!

My son attended preschool at Primary Prep through the Pre-K program. He absolutely loved attending this school. The teachers are wonderful and each takes a personal interest in seeing each child excel at his/her own pace. They encourage the children in every aspect of development and work with the parents to ensure the child is evolving a comprehensive skillset to ensure confidence for beginning kindergarten and beyond. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a personalized-focus on their child(ren)--who wouldn't?! +huge playground +great location +caring teachers +limited space +happy children +happy parents

I have been meaning to write this review for a long time. I am a very protective mother and was very choosy about where I wanted to send my then 3-year-old daughter for school. I was very hesitant about the entire experience, but everyone at Primary Prep was wonderful. It brought my shy daughter out of her shell. The teachers are very knowledgeable and thoughtful. They're very patient with little ones and their accidents. They have a great curriculum where they learn about different letters and subjects throughout the months. I am so glad I made the decision to send her here. It was priceless.

My sons went to PP-I taught for 10 yrs. as well. I have two VERY active boys who are disciplined at home when they are in trouble at school. The comm. from PP was EXCELLENT; we acted as partners in our child's development. If there was an occasion that I needed to be contacted @my son's behavior, I used it as a learning experience rather than blaming the school. Often, just following up on their strategy was sufficient in guiding their behavior in an appropriate direction. If you slam the kids teachers on the way out of the parking lot, chances are they aren't going to learn to respect their teachers and will respond accordingly. If it weren't for the valuable input from Jan & staff, and their rec. that we get more evaluation- my sons would not be where they are today. Academically and behaviorally successful. I am grateful!!!

Can not say enough good things about Primary Prep! Our twins both started Kindergarten with the confidence and skills to help them excel. Both were recognized as outstanding readers and one of them was the top AR student in all of K. The individual attention they received at Primary Prep helped build a foundation that will last a life time.

As first time parents, my wife and I did all our homework on where to send the "most amazing child in the world". Having been raised in Panama City, I had plenty of people to grill on where my child would get the best head start. The only people I asked that didn't have wonderful things to say about Primary Prep were people that had never heard of it. Now, two years later, we have enrolled the "second most amazing child in the world" and couldn't be more pleased! Our oldest son reads better at five than I read in the fifth grade. The way they teach builds confidence and makes learning fun. They take pride in my children and I love that!!! Thank you Primary Prep for taking such good care of my children and for helping prepare them for the rest of their lives.

My daughter attended this school and it was a great experience. Mrs. Blei was WONDERFUL! She gave my daughter lots of love and attention when she was painfully shy after negative experiences at other day care centers. My daughter was an excellent reader and well prepared for Kindergarten. In fact, she was one of the best readers in her class her first year of school. They have great communication with parents and work as a team to help your child be the best they can be. We still visit regularly because Mrs. Blei was such an important part of our lives. Do not believe the negative comment posted earlier.

I have to agree that the negative comment posted below should be considered anything but the norm. I interviewed many schools & spoke with family & others in the community before making the decision to enroll my daughter & without fail, I was told that Primary Prep was a true investment in my child's future. And they have not let me or my daughter down. Jan Hodges, the owner and the teachers are committed to every child s development and early learning. Parents can rest assure that these certified, qualified and caring teachers partner with families and Parent's agressively partner with the school. My daughter has a great RESPECT for her teachers and her family which translates into learning more each day. I, too, am very proud to promote this school every chance I get because I believe in them and Primary Prep's learning and development program.

The negative comment posted below should be considered anything but the norm. I think most parents who review this school - and talk with community members - will conclude what every parent at this school already knows: Primary Prep is a true investment in a child's future. My husband and I have careers and we do not have the luxury to stay at home and work with our children. Jan Hodges, Primary Prep owner, and the teachers are committed to every child s development and early learning. Parents can rest assured that these certified, qualified and caring teachers partner with families. We had social issues with our daughter, but we aggressively partnered with the school. The result is a well adjusted child with tremendous cognitive and verbal abilities. I proudly promote this school every chance I get because I believe in them and Primary Prep s learning and development philosophies.

It saddens me that a parent would post the above comment about such an outstanding school. Primary Prep and all the teachers helped and coached me through a very difficult process of introducing my youngest daughter to a school enviroment. They helped me realize that I had to be in partnership with them to help my daughter, and by working with them and not against them we did it. All the teachers as well as the owner always had words of encouragement for me. Not once was there a lack in their communication with me. Their disciplinary process is always very carefully thought through. Thank you Mrs. Hodges, Mrs. Blei, Miss Spencer and Ms. Spencer for your dedication in preparing our children for their future.

I m the mother of two children, one of whom has attended Primary Prep. My younger child will attend as soon as she turns 3. For my son, the atmosphere at this school was perfect. He is shy and he greatly benefitted from the warm and loving demeanor of the teachers. His social skills multiplied and so did his reading. He came home everyday excited to read me a new book. When I first saw this school I was drawn to it because the overall behavior and attitude of the children was amazing. I was recommended to this school by many of my friends because of the wonderful staff. Once I enrolled my child I got to see for myself just how wonderful they were. I would recommend this school to anyone and I can t wait to send my daughter there when she is old enough.

I sent my children to Primary Prep precisely because they have standards of acceptable behavior for the children. It is a prep school and the children graduating from there are prepared extemely well, not only academically but socially. I asked 6 different kindergarten teachers where to send my children. Without exception, they all said Primary Prep School.

We want our children to learn to love school and learning in hopes they will continue on to higher academic levels. Both of our children have learned to read smaller sentences ( 3 words and under) I have to wonder if it is due to the school or our reading to them daily. I do not agree or like their disciplinary process or communication with the parents. I think they can do a better job of relating to the chiildren and parents and I do not agree with sending a child home on a first offense rather than disciplining the child themselves. My son has been sent home on multiple occasions within the first hour of school and tells me he is 'bad'. That is not what a 4 yr old should think of himself. 2 of the teachers work well with the children so my rating is higher for them.
