As a first time parent, we have done a lot of research before choosing PPLC. We are so happy to find a school with very caring teachers and owner in such a secured and well maintained environment. Our daughter attended PPLC for 1.5 years. The management team is very approachable and we always got excellent communication from teachers and owner. They organize monthly fun event which makes their curriculum very unique and funs. We met friendly family at PPLC and our daughter found lots of great friends. The fact you can just pick up a phone and within a few rings, you get one of management team on the phone to check on your child or ask question shows how well management team run school. They do great job in organizing class, maintaining property and making sure all children and teachers are safe. We highly recommend PPLC to everyone!

I recommend Precious People Learning Center to everyone. I have two sons which both attended school here. The staff and teachers are amazing with their knowledge and resources while teaching my boys. My sons were more than ready and prepared to start kindergarten. I live in Pasco county and making the drive was well worth it. I strongly recommend this school. The school is completely devoted to the kids and their education. The teachers and staff will go out of their way to help.

We are so thrilled that our daughter is attending Precious People. It feels so good to be able to drop her off each morning to the infant room and know that I have absolutely nothing to worry about. I pick her up and drop her off at varying times throughout the week and I have never once walked into the room to find crying babies or teachers who looked like they didn't want to be there. It is always smiles and Precious People makes us feel like family. I visited every single daycare center in the area and the moment I walked into Precious People, I had a "vibe" that it was the one. The office does a great job and they are very informative of what is going on in the school and how your child is doing. Everything is always clean. The infants are taken outside on a regular basis, which you will not find at many other schools. A+!!!!

Precious People is an amazing school. The front office staff knows everyone by name parents and students and always greets you with a smile. The teachers in the school all truly care about the students. When I drop off my daughter the teachers always greet her with a smile and a hug. She is so happy here she doesn t even want to leave at the end of the day. She talks about her friends and her teachers non-stop. Whenever we are coming or going and she sees any of the teachers at the school they greet her with a smile and often a big hug. My daughter just turned three and she knows more Spanish than I do. She has learned so much since beginning her early education here at Precious People. She comes home singing new songs, and every month has new Spanish, and sign language that she is learning in addition to learning her shapes, colors, numbers, and alphabet. I feel like she will be at a great advantage when she starts school. I love that they are excellent at keeping the communication flowing. They send many e-mails and have an active facebook page. IT is nice during the day to be able to look online and see pictures of your little one enjoying their day at school.

As a first time mom, I was nervous and skeptical about enrolling my two-year daughter in pre-school after her being home with me everyday - but as she got older, We realized it was time for her to socialize and make some friends. PPLC is SENSATIONAL!! They have a structured curriculum that is age appropriate and most important, FUN! Everyday is an adventure in the eyes of my daughter. She gets to sing, dance, create, play, pretend, laugh, and run around. I love that nothing is forced, and she is free to be herself. Everything done at the school is FOR the children, whether it be community helpers (police, firemen, dentists) coming by to visit, certification classes for the staff, or CPR seminars for parents, PPLC is always coming up with ways to be thorough. The owner and staff stress the total development of each child: moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical. Ms. Stefania and Ms. Kendall are more than teachers to my daughter, they are care givers who are enthusiastic, patient, and warm - they're an extended part of the family :) This school is clean, safe, and full of licensed educators who really care about children! We wouldn't have our daughter anywhere else!

PPLC has been a great experience for my children and our family. The teachers are great, very deidcated and friendly the facility is top notch. When we moved to FL in 2011 we were welcomed into the PPLC family and have had nothng but a wonderful time while here. The progress my son has made during his time at PPLC is amazing. He loves to count and is even writing his name. We are going to miss everyone a great deal and I thank everyone for their dedication to teaching. I highly recommend PPLC to anyone who is looking for an exceptional school with a friendly and caring staff.

We had the opportunity to meet so many nice families while my daughters attended PPLC. The children learn, develop and have tons of fun and come home with great stories. The owner and staff greet you each morning always with a smile. The staff is very accessible and helpful. The communication is second to none. The teachers are fantastic and are all friendly. My daughters loved attending PPLC. They especially loved Jungle Bus, Water Days, Circus Day and Pajama Day. These are very special days and memories that my daughters will treasure forever.

My family has attended PPLC for the past 5 years and we have loved every minute of it. As a teacher myself, I was looking for a school that would not only provide a safe nurturing environment, but would also provide my children with a great educational foundation. PPLC provides all of those things and more! PPLC has a wonderful group of teachers who have loved my children like their own and continue to do so even now that my oldest is in 1st grade. My youngest loves going to school and comes home with interesting facts like "Pluto is a dwarf planet." I can't thank the staff enough for the guidance and support they have offered over the years. I am constantly receiving compliments about how well my children are behaved and I think that is in no small part due to the consistency and love they receive both at home and at school. Remember school doesn't start in Kindergarten anymore! Thank you to PPLC for everything!

We had the pleasure of having our four year-old twins attend PPLC this summer, and the experience with Miss Tammy, Miss Ashley and the rest of the staff was excellent. Education, safety, and a fun, nurturing environment are all priorities at PPLC. Our oldest child attended summer camp as well and enjoyed it very much.

My daughter has attended PPLC since the age of 2 and is now ending her final summer session and carrying on to Kindergarten. Being a very involved Dad I have attended the school on endless occasions for lunches, misc. interaction, and every PPLC theme day or special occasion that was offered ! During any of which times am pleased to see this GREAT school in operation. Director Barbra and assistant Connie are were ALWAYS eger to assist me in ANY needs, concerns, or desires that may need attention. Every teacher my daughter has encounter has been top notch in providing my daughter with the best care and education. SInce the entire duration at the school my daughter has learned SO much and am very confident she will be on the cutting edge starting Kindergarten. PPLC will most certainly be missed but NEVER forgotten as the perfect stepping stone for my daughter :)

My oldest son went to pplc for ten years and now my youngest will probably be there for the same. While looking for preschools when my oldest was 2, I probably visited about 15 different preschools from Dunedin to Palm Harbor. Pplc was the best. There was no doubt in my mind that he would go there and have a loving, safe, educational environment. I was right. Best decision ever made. Never a day went by that I worried or was concerned that my child was in good hands. I would highly recommend this school to any parent that wants the best for their child.

My children attend Precious People Learning Center in Palm Harbor, FL. In the 5 years attending this preschool my children have always been greeted with hugs by their teachers and every morning you are greeted with a smile and a "Hello, How you are doing?" Every teacher that my children have had I have loved and they have loved so much. When they had to move up to another teacher I would be sad and worry that the next teacher wouldn't be as great as the last but I was so wrong. Every teacher at the school is so loving and caring. My sons teacher in the one year old room really encouraged him to use his words. She talked to him everyday like he was actually saying words and pointed things out to him and told him what that was. She would get at their level. Every month they have a theme of the month and they learn so much about that theme. It can be space, insects, dinosaurs, etc. but no matter what it is they have so much fun and great activities planned for them. My oldest is in the VPK Program there and they have really got her prepared for Kindergarten. This school goes above and beyond and they take great pride in teaching the children and they love every minute of it!

My son attended PPLC during the end of VPK to Kindergarten transition. We all loved the school and the faculty. Barbara and Connie were great to see everyday and were very quick with any follow up to questions we had. Mrs. Grugen was awesome and made the days so much fun for learning and was really engaged with the children. They offer a great learning structure for the kids. I recommend this school to any parent I know looking for a quality learning experience for their child.

My son attended PPLC for a little over a year. We are a split family & we were going through some intense custody issues while enrolled in PPLC. The teaching staff, Barbra & Connie all helped my son through the rough time as well as encouraged me & were very consistent & helpful to work with him with anger-related issues. They are amazing at re-directing the children. His first day there, he was crying and carrying on like he had in his previous daycare center, the teacher said, "come on, let's go play baseball." The most amazing thing happened... he quit crying, forgot I was even there & ran off to play. PPLC communicates each activity of every day very affectively. Their stop-light formulary for behavior purposes was so helpful. In fact, its also used in the elementary school my son now attends & excels in. His teacher in elementary school repeatedly says that my son is already on a first grade education level, that was the first week of school & she applauded the amazing job well done @ PPLC in the VPK program. I am very proud of my son's accomplishments and improvements made while attending PPLC. I highly recommend them.

Let's just say my experience at PPLC made me work harder and be a better person. ME! As a group these are the most dedicated and hardest working people I have ever met. I've been known to be pretty sentimental (and as usual I am crying as I type this) but watching people so dedicated to children and MY child has truly been inspiring. This is a group of peolpe who are committed and loving professionals. They greet you with a smile and wave in the morning. And everyone knows your name. I can't tell you how good it feels when you leave your child in capable hands and go to work with no worries cause at PPLC they've got you covered. Nosebleeds and all! The organization is incredible. The rules and structure are FOLLOWED and result in the best environment for children. Our son is starting Kindergarten in two weeks and is so ready. He is excited and feels confident and prepared. He's ready to take on the world. Many thanks to the most special people in his life from PPLC! Ms. Noa, Ms. Tammy and Ms. Grugen- hat's off to you. Remarkable! And to all of the staff -thanks so much. What an oustanding group of educators!

Your school has been a blessing in my life and has provided the absolute best care and education for my son. He is moving on to kindergarten and there is no doubt that I will continue to recommend this school to future parents! Thank you for providing such an excellent school with the finest teachers for our precious children. They are all certainly set up for success after leaving your preschool program.

Surfing, just came upon this site and was dumbfounded by the last comment? The school clearly has a positive influence on the children and the parents based on the multiple comments of positivity previous to May 11th, 2011. I happen to know several parents who have left PPLC, based on cutting financial corners and screamed to get back in the door, space are limited, so if you have one for your child, keep it! Clearly the family below did not have a good experience, but blaming turnover is a cop out. If your child was acting out and had behavior issues, I know that the staff work hard to help the family. Pre-School teachers are under paid, and deal with regulations of the state wheaaayyyy beyond what you can imagine, but most of them get into the field with the right mind.Your child was unlucky obviously! My child has been in the school for 3 years and we have not had change, other than the usual movements of age group. Mrs.Grugan, to name just one, has been there for 15 or so years and I know they have longevity with others. I believe the comment below was harsh and not the right fit for your family, maybe even short sighted! get over it, it happens, their history speaks for itself.

The main concern with this center is the teacher turnover. My son had five different teachers within a year. As soon as he'd bond with a teacher - after about 6-8 weeks - we'd receive a note in his lunchbag that the teacher was dismissed. It was very hard on him - he started acting out in frustration and asking where Ms. Teacher was in the evenings. We moved him to another preschool whose staff has been there a minimum of five years and up to 15 years. He is a new child, happy and compliant, secure and loving every minute of learning. PPLC seems good on the surface, but the turnover is especially hard on the little ones. Also classrooms are quite small.

Precious People Learning Center has gone above and beyond my expectations. Our child seems to love her school as well as her teachers. The director runs a tight ship and makes me feel comfortable knowing that her staff is on top of everything from certifications all the way to their relationships with the students. I will not even consider sending my child elsewhere and have personally recommended PPLC to several friends.

My family are relevantly new to the area (6mths) and started our search for the right school. We had so many things to consider in achieving our mission. Cost / cleanliness / attention to detail and of course education. I am thrilled to say that we found all these things and more at Precious People. The owner of 13 years and on site Director Ms. Barbra is a no nonsense kind of gal! She stands up for what she believes in and runs her school like a finely oiled machine. She says what she means and means what she says, always looking out for the benefit and best interest of the 135 or so children in her care. She is skilled at staffing her school with the perfect teachers and knows what she is looking for in making the right choices of personality, education and caring individuals that make up her team. I looked at 3 schools before I decided on this school and I did not make my decision lightly! Yes, there are 'brand new schools with tree houses in them' and aesthetically any parent would think what a good school, but I urge you to look deeper. There is a lot more to it, and Precious People just hit 's the mark at every turn. Your family will not be disappointed!

Our son was in an in home daycare and of course we had the school 'jitters'. We went through the normal questions is our year and a half son old enough for school? Once we made the choice to start school shopping we made our first stop at Precious People, and that was our last stop. The learning center sold itself. Our son has attended the school for almost one year, our only regret is we did not enroll him sooner. Our son is developing beyond what we have expected. Precious People employees not only know my sons name but mine as well. We are welcomed each day we enter PPLC, it is a great feeling to know my son is attending a wonderful learning center where he is truely cared for. A+ for PPLC!!!

My wife and I looked for preschools for my son once he turned 18 months old. PPLC was recommended by a friend of ours. Once we toured PPLC and spoke with Barbara, we knew we had the right place. It was one of the best decisions we have made regarding the benefit and development of our son. My son has been at PPLC for 7 months, has loved it since the very beginning, and has developed a lot in his time there. He looks forward to going to school. At home he talks about his teachers and classmates all the time. My wife and I feel that PPLC is a wonderful, caring, safe, and highly nurturing environment for our son to spend his days. We are thankful to our friends who recommended this school to us.

My son (now 2 1/2) went to three different care providers before we found PPLC. One was an in-home provider, while the other two were national chains. If you've been to any other schools in the area, once you walk in the door at PPLC, you will see/feel/smell the difference. Everything is kept in tip-top shape every single day, and is cleaner than any other school I've checked into. The place is run like a well-oiled machine; everyone is wonderful and they actually CARE about my child; the teachers and assistants are sent for regular training and are up-to-date on certifications etc.. I just can't say enough about PPLC, and am SO grateful that we found it. I no longer worry (quite so much) about my son every moment through the day, because I know he's well cared for here!

After a thorough search of the area for a good school my daughter was enrolled in Precious People Learning Center 3 years ago. I have found all of the teachers to be caring and knowledgeable. Everyone here has looked out for the best interest of my child. The best testament is that my daughter LOVES going to school! Being a single parent, the school has been my 'better half' as far as raising a well adjusted, happy, healthy child. I recommend this school to friends every time.

I have 2 children who have had the pleasure to attend Precious People for the past 2 years. Although my oldest son does not attend during the school year, EVERY DAY he asks to go to PPLC with me to pick up his brother. He looks up to the teachers and director and can't wait to let them know how he is doing in school. I was very apprehensive when enrolling my oldest son at PPLC due to some less than pleasant previous experiences. However, he was welcomed with open arms and benefited from the consistency and love that he received from the school. My children have both blossomed from the encouragement and support of the teachers and directors at the school. I feel that PPLC is a safe, loving environment that provides a high level of educational experiences and uses consistent policies while the kids are having FUN!

My daughter has grown so much in the short time she has been at Precious People. They have an amazing staff and are all so wonderful. I've never come across a business that when you enter the front door the atmosphere is as friendly as theirs (and I visit a ton every week). It is certainly the best decision I've made regarding my childs early education.

I am very disturbed by the comment of March 21st. My child had attended Precious People since 2 years of age and continued through before and after care through the 5th grade. Never did I encounter one problem with their staff. You know, it is impossible to please everyone all the time. I continue to visit Precious People with my child, and we are always greeted with a friendly smile and welcomed into the center. I know many families that have gone to Precious People and continue to go there and I have never heard anything but positive comments.

My son has attended Precious People since May 2006. In this time he has learn and grown so much. The staff that work at PPLC are there for the children and their enthusiasm shows. I know that it is not easy leaving your child in someone else's care, but since we have to - it is so nice to know that our child is in great hands. Every night I look forward to hearing what he experienced during the day and what he has learned.

My son attended Precious People from the time he was 3 years old until he was in 2nd grade. We had a few bad experiences beforehand and were anxious as all parents are. All the teachers were genuinely interested in his well-being and took time to get to know us. If there were concerns, they were dealt with professionally and the principal always found time for me if needed. As a single mom, they were my family. He attended the private Kindergarten program that was available at the time and spent his afternoons and summers in the camp programs. I cannot speak highly enough of his experience there. Michael is now in the Gifted Program in 5th grade, his testing scores soar, and recently made Principals' list with straight A's. I will always be convinced that much credit is due to the attention and curriculum given at PPLC.

My daughter has attended PPLC for a year now. I work in the school system and have the opportunity to put my daughter in a less pricey center, but my husband and I know that even though PPLC is more money per week, it's well worth the peace of mind. The owner and her staff are always positive and professional. The classrooms are clean and organized. The structure and curriculum are top notch. PPLC was recommended to me by friends within the licensing department as one of the best in the county. I have not been disappointed or concerned about my daugther's care yet.

I am very happy with this school and the advancements both of my kids have made there. They just scored a 285 out of a possible 300 for the VPK program. I believe this is the top one or 2 spot in Pinellas county. My kids have been there for 2 years and while daycare is costly, you get what you pay for. We looked at other centers and I watched my kids expression when we visited all of them. Their actions said it all. They are thrilled to be there. The owner is tough,so is life.

Our son began attending PPLC when he was two years-old. We were nervous first-time parents, but as we witnessed the growth of our child, we became at ease. He soon looked forward to going to school and forged excellent relationships with his teachers, who all loved and adored him; he felt special. Any time I had an 'issue,' I could pick up the phone, and within two or three rings, the phone was answered and they would make a call on the walkie-talkie to let me know how he was doing. Our son begins kindergarten in August, and we find comfort and relief in the education he has recieved at PPLC, and look forward to his application of those skills in the future. PPLC is most definitely a top-notch school. Put your kids there - you'll be glad you did!

My daughters have been attending Precious People Learning Center since they were babies. I would not trust them with anyone else. I did a lot of research before choosing PPLC and I guarantee you will not find a school with more caring teachers or a better curriculum. I feel secure everyday knowing that my children are not only safe and well taken care of but that they are having a tremendous amount of fun as well. This is do largely in part to the director of the school who is no-nonsense ( perhaps 'abrasive') and runs a very tight ship. I feel that it is this approach that has the most impact on the teachers and staff striving to be the best they can be.My girls have been affected so positively by Precious People and I will always be grateful for that.

My son has been at this school since he was 2. He is now in the before and after school program and will turn 10 next week. Thanks to the great teachers at this school, they were able to catch a learning disability before he entered into the public school system. Because of that, I was able to get testing and help for him before it was too late! If you check out the VPK gradings for this school, you will see they are top notch...scoring 285 points out of 300 (Pinellas County average is 230). I recommend Precious People all the time...maybe you should check it out for yourself! Respectfully submitted, T & C

Precious People has been a true blessing for me. I have four (4) children and all of them have been loved, cared for and taught by the wonderful teachers and staff. Two of my children have been in the school since 12 months of age. The youngest one just graduated from pre-k this year. I searched extensively throughout Pinellas county looking for a pre school for our one year old daughter. After visiting numerous schools as well as checking county records I decided on Precious People Learning Center, I cannot say enough wonderful things to describe our experience that we have had since she has started school there. I was amazed how warm and friendly everyone made her, as well as myself feel. The open door policy is truly just that,I call numerous times daily just to see how she is doing and each time I do, it is like calling a close friend who doesn't mind chatting about my daughter. She is really blossoming since starting Precious People. She LOVES going to school every day. The staff and director are very easy to talk to,they treat each child as individuals each with their own needs. I would highly recommend this school to anyone. Adonica Burdon

I would highly recommend Precious People. I looked into many childcare facilities in this area - and this was by far the best. The owner/director is passionate about her facitility, the teachers and students. She expects only the best from her staff and runs a tight ship - and I wouldn't want it any other way. They are very well organized and consistant -my daughter always knows what to expect and always looks forward to the days activities. As a parent, I know that my child will be safe and loved. I am amazed each day at the amount she is learning and that she loves learning!

My son has been at Precious People from the time he turned 1 four years ago until present. We have been thoroughly happy with the school, its teachers, and the school director, Barbara Mastrota. We spent the first after my son was born researching our options and interviewing school administrators and Barbara was by far the most professional school leader we encountered. Her deep caring for our son and the other children of the school is evident to myself, my wife, and my son's Nana. I cannot recommend this school any more highly. When I read negative comments I cannot help but feel the author has some other agenda. I realize there are a small handful of parents who feel school rules, such as picking their child up on time, do not apply to them. Regardless of one persons unsigned attack, I am here to say this school if fantastic!

My son has been at precious people for over a year and I could not be happier. He has learned so much. Not only ABC's and 123's but conflict resolution and much more. He enjoys going to school and looks forward to it everyday. The facility itself is beautiful and the teachers and staff are warm and caring and always open to speak with you about anything. I could not be happier with preschool we have chosen for our child in these his most formative years.

I wouldn't recommend this school to my worst enemy. They don't take the child into consideration at all, only money and politics. Please don't make your children suffer by sending them here. There are other schools in Palm Harbor that are cheaper and nicer.

The director and the office manager have been very responsive and easy to work with. Security is excellent.
