My children attend Precious People Learning Center in Palm Harbor, FL. In the 5 years attending this preschool my children have always been greeted with hugs by their teachers and every morning you are greeted with a smile and a "Hello, How you are doing?" Every teacher that my children have had I have loved and they have loved so much. When they had to move up to another teacher I would be sad and worry that the next teacher wouldn't be as great as the last but I was so wrong. Every teacher at the school is so loving and caring. My sons teacher in the one year old room really encouraged him to use his words. She talked to him everyday like he was actually saying words and pointed things out to him and told him what that was. She would get at their level. Every month they have a theme of the month and they learn so much about that theme. It can be space, insects, dinosaurs, etc. but no matter what it is they have so much fun and great activities planned for them. My oldest is in the VPK Program there and they have really got her prepared for Kindergarten. This school goes above and beyond and they take great pride in teaching the children and they love every minute of it!

My son attended PPLC during the end of VPK to Kindergarten transition. We all loved the school and the faculty. Barbara and Connie were great to see everyday and were very quick with any follow up to questions we had. Mrs. Grugen was awesome and made the days so much fun for learning and was really engaged with the children. They offer a great learning structure for the kids. I recommend this school to any parent I know looking for a quality learning experience for their child.

My son attended PPLC for a little over a year. We are a split family & we were going through some intense custody issues while enrolled in PPLC. The teaching staff, Barbra & Connie all helped my son through the rough time as well as encouraged me & were very consistent & helpful to work with him with anger-related issues. They are amazing at re-directing the children. His first day there, he was crying and carrying on like he had in his previous daycare center, the teacher said, "come on, let's go play baseball." The most amazing thing happened... he quit crying, forgot I was even there & ran off to play. PPLC communicates each activity of every day very affectively. Their stop-light formulary for behavior purposes was so helpful. In fact, its also used in the elementary school my son now attends & excels in. His teacher in elementary school repeatedly says that my son is already on a first grade education level, that was the first week of school & she applauded the amazing job well done @ PPLC in the VPK program. I am very proud of my son's accomplishments and improvements made while attending PPLC. I highly recommend them.

Let's just say my experience at PPLC made me work harder and be a better person. ME! As a group these are the most dedicated and hardest working people I have ever met. I've been known to be pretty sentimental (and as usual I am crying as I type this) but watching people so dedicated to children and MY child has truly been inspiring. This is a group of peolpe who are committed and loving professionals. They greet you with a smile and wave in the morning. And everyone knows your name. I can't tell you how good it feels when you leave your child in capable hands and go to work with no worries cause at PPLC they've got you covered. Nosebleeds and all! The organization is incredible. The rules and structure are FOLLOWED and result in the best environment for children. Our son is starting Kindergarten in two weeks and is so ready. He is excited and feels confident and prepared. He's ready to take on the world. Many thanks to the most special people in his life from PPLC! Ms. Noa, Ms. Tammy and Ms. Grugen- hat's off to you. Remarkable! And to all of the staff -thanks so much. What an oustanding group of educators!

Your school has been a blessing in my life and has provided the absolute best care and education for my son. He is moving on to kindergarten and there is no doubt that I will continue to recommend this school to future parents! Thank you for providing such an excellent school with the finest teachers for our precious children. They are all certainly set up for success after leaving your preschool program.

Surfing, just came upon this site and was dumbfounded by the last comment? The school clearly has a positive influence on the children and the parents based on the multiple comments of positivity previous to May 11th, 2011. I happen to know several parents who have left PPLC, based on cutting financial corners and screamed to get back in the door, space are limited, so if you have one for your child, keep it! Clearly the family below did not have a good experience, but blaming turnover is a cop out. If your child was acting out and had behavior issues, I know that the staff work hard to help the family. Pre-School teachers are under paid, and deal with regulations of the state wheaaayyyy beyond what you can imagine, but most of them get into the field with the right mind.Your child was unlucky obviously! My child has been in the school for 3 years and we have not had change, other than the usual movements of age group. Mrs.Grugan, to name just one, has been there for 15 or so years and I know they have longevity with others. I believe the comment below was harsh and not the right fit for your family, maybe even short sighted! get over it, it happens, their history speaks for itself.

The main concern with this center is the teacher turnover. My son had five different teachers within a year. As soon as he'd bond with a teacher - after about 6-8 weeks - we'd receive a note in his lunchbag that the teacher was dismissed. It was very hard on him - he started acting out in frustration and asking where Ms. Teacher was in the evenings. We moved him to another preschool whose staff has been there a minimum of five years and up to 15 years. He is a new child, happy and compliant, secure and loving every minute of learning. PPLC seems good on the surface, but the turnover is especially hard on the little ones. Also classrooms are quite small.

Precious People Learning Center has gone above and beyond my expectations. Our child seems to love her school as well as her teachers. The director runs a tight ship and makes me feel comfortable knowing that her staff is on top of everything from certifications all the way to their relationships with the students. I will not even consider sending my child elsewhere and have personally recommended PPLC to several friends.

My family are relevantly new to the area (6mths) and started our search for the right school. We had so many things to consider in achieving our mission. Cost / cleanliness / attention to detail and of course education. I am thrilled to say that we found all these things and more at Precious People. The owner of 13 years and on site Director Ms. Barbra is a no nonsense kind of gal! She stands up for what she believes in and runs her school like a finely oiled machine. She says what she means and means what she says, always looking out for the benefit and best interest of the 135 or so children in her care. She is skilled at staffing her school with the perfect teachers and knows what she is looking for in making the right choices of personality, education and caring individuals that make up her team. I looked at 3 schools before I decided on this school and I did not make my decision lightly! Yes, there are 'brand new schools with tree houses in them' and aesthetically any parent would think what a good school, but I urge you to look deeper. There is a lot more to it, and Precious People just hit 's the mark at every turn. Your family will not be disappointed!
