Run away fast from this school! Director is highly emotional & unorganized. Can't keep good teachers there. It's a shame because it used to be one of the better places for preschool education that was worth its weight in gold. A lot changed from what I have heard via friends. Great neighborhood though, just not a good preschool.
If you are looking for a caring, loving, and holds high expectations for children, you will find it at Longleaf Learning Center. The director truly cares about every child that walks through the door. The director takes the time to learn and understand the needs of all families. The teachers show enthusiasm and will go the extra mile to help children. Thank you LLC staff for giving me calmness when leaving my precious son behind. I never have to worry that he will not be taken care of. The staff looks after everyone. Kudos to you!!
As we all know, when you drop off your child at a daycare facility, the staff there is helping to raise your child... pretty serious stuff. With that in mind, I always feel comfort knowing my son is in such good hands. My son has attended LLC for over three years now. He is very advanced in his learning, communication and people skills. All of the the staff is professional, yet personal towards not only the children but also the parents. I have nothing but nice things to say about LLC, Director Jackie Maness, Miss Denia, Miss, Shannon, Miss Lisa, Miss Kelly and Miss Vicky to name a few. From what I have read, the bad reviews come from bitter people. Some of the slanders towards Ms. Maness and the facility are so exaggerated that it surely shows that it came from someone not of a rational mind. Please consider only the legitimate criticisms, not those uttered by parents with deeper issues.
As an educator and teacher myself, I can not say enough great things about LLC. The teachers are knowledgeable and caring and very welcoming to parents. Mrs. Maness is a fantastic director. Her door is always open and she is always willing to help her families. She has fantastic leadership qualities and it shows through the happiness of her teachers. As a kindergarten teacher for many years, I must add that the children that enter my classroom that have attended LLC are well prepared and ready to start school. They excel an all areas and have a wonderful foundation for learning. I want nothing but the best for my daughters and I feel that LLC has been a wonderful experience! Thank you Mrs. Manness for a fantastic year!
Not a good school. I took my child out after I saw the way they run the place.
I am very happy with the director Jacki Maness, She is very approachable and helps you when there is a problem. My children lover there teachers and have done very well in there classes.
I cant say enough good about this school and its staff. The director is amazing and completely involved in what is best for the children. I dont understand the reason behind posting negative things directed at one person, if your not happy why are your children attending the school? My family and I could not have had a better 'pre-school' expirence! I would recomend this school everyday to everyone with little ones!
I have to disagree -- this school is doing a complete turn down. Under Ms. Bates the kids used to graduate from there with amazing skills & education. Under the current director Ms. Maness the teachers are leaving, new ones keep popping up. The kids don't get half of what they used to under previous administration years ago. Word of mouth is spreading, and I've heard it myself - you can get better than this now. I do hope they find a more organized director. She's a scatter-brain!
My daughter spent 4 years at LLC. The first year under the directorship of Kelly - there was a different teacher ever 6 week in our class, and a business like tone. I was about to quit when Jackie took over directorship! WOW! What a difference. The center has a warm loving enviroment, with a staff that cares about you and your child. They listened when you told them your child didn't sleep well or something exciting was happening in thier lives. When my daughter was old enough for kindergerten, we all cried because we had such an awesome bond. My daughter still talks about her wonderful experiences at LLC. It was a great feeling knowing that they loved my daughter as much as I did while I was working. I can not say enough wonderful things about LLC. With help from them she is a strong, educated, independant
As a parent of 2 children who have attended LLC over the past 4 years, I cannot say enough great things about the school. The curriculum surpasses anything else you will find. The teachers don't just teach your children, they love your children. The time and energy they all put in proves it. The director is great. She is definitely a child advocate and will be sure your child has the very best learning experience possible. This is a wonderful school!
