WCS is an amazing Bible-based education school with compassionate teachers and administrators. The preschool program is outstanding. We just finished Kindergarten and have excelled in all disciplines, are writing in cursive and reading at a 3rd grade level. Our child loves school and learning and are proud to be a part of the WCS family.

Westwood Christian is an excellent school and we are so glad that we made the decision to put our children within a Christian environment. Not only are they receiving a top notch education with professors that really truly care, but they are learning to establish themselves on the foundation of God's word. The facilities are top notch, about 20 acres in Horse Country, a multi-million dollar facility that has been recently renovated. The Fine Arts Music Program is incredible, and sports offered as well. Just a fantastic well-rounded school. And now there is a PTO with much more parent involvement which has been refreshing as well. I would not have my children anywhere else in all of Miami!

I started my daughter in Prek 3 and she is now in 2nd Grade. I have been more than pleased with the education that my daughter has received at this school. Unlike many other private schools and of course public schools classes are small which allow allot of one on one time. The teachers stay in constant communication with parents via email, texting, school website etc. You are always informed as to what your child is doing. The school does need more extra activites for the elementary school and they have improved a little this year. Having said that I prefer to deal with the lack of extra activities and know that my daughter is receiving exceptional education, one on one with her teachers, and small classrooms. You may have a star teacher but with 35 students you are limited. I highly recommend this school.

This school rocks! I love WCS! If there was any school that I'd recomend to you, it'd be westwood. I have met many amazingly awesome people here, and many have changed my life, and made me a better person. I have had so many memories here, and I'll never forget them or the people there. Highly recomended. <3 From a ninth grader.

The teachers and staff love and devote themselves to ensuring that students receive the best education possible - not just academically, but socially and spiritually as well.

Westwood Christian School is an awesome school. I mean, there are plenty of great and not-so-great schools out there. I came to this school in 7th grade. As a girl, I really wanted to fit in with everyone else, especially since I'm really shy. When I first came to this school, I had already had a bad start at the previous one. 'This was going to be the same,' I thought. But no, it wasn't the same. The kids there treated me nicely, they had a lot of respect for me and they showed me what a real friend is. As a human, we all complain about everything, I mean, we'll never be satisfied. And many kids at this school complain about the uniforms and what not. Hey, I complain about this school too and I love it. Westwood is great, and I do recommend it. From an eigth grader.

Ive been to about 7 schools and have never been blessed more than to be at westwood. See i was the kid who was insecure and hated moving schools (wait isnt that every kid?? :) ). When I went to Westwood it was the best decision my parents could have made. sure like every other kid Ive had my ups and downs spiritually and educationally but Westwood has always encouraged me. Ive read the reviews someone even saying how Westwood puts too much emphasis on growing with our relationship with Christ. But i think differently. Its schools like this that inspire students to whats right for Christ. Im a sophomore now and have been attending westwood for almost 5 years. Im on the honor roll and am receiving the best education from teachers who care about me.... 'Hey Westwood, Thanks!' May God bless their ministry

Great school. My children have always attended there. My son has been accepted to gifted programs of various universities while in the elementary and junior high grade at Westwood. Great moral and Christian values taught to students at Westwood. I highly recommend this school!

this school needs more extracurricular activities and needs to offer more courses like ap, calculus, and more challenging classes for those who want to take them.

The elementary school has made some significant improvements over past few years. There is a heavy emphasis on language arts that includes a solid phonics program, development of reading comprehension skills, speech competitions, and learning how to write compositions. The principal seems to be a good listener and is not afraid to think outside the box. The middle school is fine, but I have not seen as much improvement there as I have in the elementary school. There are a few electives, but I would like to see more. The high school has very good teachers, and students who work hard will be well-prepared for college. The high school needs more electives, though. Regarding discipline, the dean of students is one of the most down to earth and reasonable guys I have ever met. I think the kids love him!

I have one student that already graduated and another one that is finishing high school. I think this is a great school. My daughter is doing excellent in college. She was very well prepared by WCS. The faculty is excellent. Their sports program is getting better. I highly recommend the school

Regarding another comment made by a parent, it is true that students struggle in college in math and writing. Also, in study skills. I am a former graduate of Westwood and had a really hard time when I first started college. I had to learn for myself how to study and how to study the right way. The school is focused too much on religion, hence the lack of skills in other subjects.

My child is now in 5th grade and every year has been excellent since PK-3. Caring and dedicated teachers and staff. Top quality education. They have Band in 5th grade! My child's SAT scores were way above national average. Great with discipline. They are fair and caring with discipline. You can see the grades and the homework online! Teachers e-mail you! Teachers work with the parents! These things are not found very much in public school. Great Christian teachings except the part about that they are not supposed to listen to rock music. I thnk that's a little extreme b/c rock music is everywhere and there is no way to avoid that and then the students feel guilty when they are somewhere where it's being played. But the academics, discipline, etc. is worth it.

Wonderful academics. The math program is excellent and so is history as well as science. I m very impress with how much my 5th grader knows. He is now learning what I learned in high school in public school. My concern is with the bible teachings. They seem too radical at times. Perhaps a new bible curriculum will help in this area. Great teachers and staff.

Great school, The teachers love to teach. Gives challenging work and discipline. Mixes Christian faith in with almost everything. The principals are not too leanient but are not too firm either. The students are treated as their age nothing more and nothing less. There is alot but not enough parent involvement (could be better). The art and sport programs are good and are getting better every year. Great school if you want discipline in your child's life.

Great school but very conservative. The students were not allowed to dance or listen to any rock music. However, the education was worth it. My son learned how to study (a skill not taught in public schools) and how to organize himself.

Westwood Christian provides a Christian environment to the students, excelent sport and fine arts programs, but I have a concern regarding academics. Students usually struggle with Math and Writing, especially when they get to college. Overall, it is a good choice for Christian parents, due to the emphasis on building a Christian character and spiritual enrichment activities they provide for young people. Elementary is great !

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
