Global Village Preschool is simply amazing! My child has been at GVP for a year and a half, and we couldn't be happier. This school offers a warm, inviting ambiance that facilitates high quality learning and education for your child. The teachers and staff are wonderful, and they really do give each child individualized attention in a loving, caring way that makes it feel like a real family. My son adores his teachers and classmates, even talks about them on weekends, and can't wait to go back to school. When I pick him up, he is smiling and happy and tells me all about his day. He is learning a lot in a well rounded way; everyday I am impressed with his level of knowledge. GVP has a gorgeous natural playground and a lovely Atelier. It is also very clean here! It is obvious that the director and owners really care about quality, are very detail-oriented, knowledgeable, experienced, and they put a lot of effort into creating such a fantastic learning environment for children. The school also has an open door policy and encourages parental involvement. Like most parents, I have very high standards when it comes to my child, and GVP has exceeded my expectations.
Global Village preschool is simply fantastic. I realize at times people just want to be malicious because they have nothing better to do with their time. The tons of great comments on facebook and other reviews speak for themselves. I actually remember speaking to this parent who wrote the false review, she was always seemed to be looking for a fault. Well, like i said, you can' t please everyone. Really analyze what she said " hazardous chemicals"? really? It's only diluted bleach and water solution as recommended by DCF for disinfecting eating surfaces (NOT aerosols as other schools have). She said the Director got her child sick? How does she know who made her child sick? couldn't her child have made others sick? It is so silly these comments when they are analyzed. The only way to know is to visit the school yourself and speak to the parents that are there. It is sad when someone acts and speaks ignorantly especially after claiming her standards are high and she studied with New England Schools. My mother used to say, "if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing at all" great advice.
This school is awesome!! My child has been attending GVP since February and I am absolutely amazed at her development and the experience we have had at this school. The ambiance is soothing and welcoming. The staff exceeds the state requirements for early childhood. This is big for me because I myself am looking into working in this field. Also, the director has been in the field for over 25 years and taught for the Miami Dade public school system. Their curriculum (combination of Reggio Emilia and High Scope) is spot on for developing young children. I love the creative and out-of-the-box approach. As per the negative review below...I am so disappointed in these parents. I was actually present many times at pick-up and drop-off and their child was completely out of control; punching and kicking both the Director and the teachers, along with totally disrespectful language and threats. I witnessed their patience with this child for weeks during the summer. They handled it professionally. Beautiful school, amazing staff, happy babies and children. Exceeded my expectations of what a preschool/ child care facility is. I am so happy and content with my choice in this preschool.
YES! Finally a truly GREAT Preschool has been added to Great Schools.org. Not to take anything away from the other preschools in the area, but I personally visited 19 of them while searching for my child. As soon as I walked into Global Village Preschool it took my breath away! Owned and Directed by a state certified teacher with all of her staff being fully certified. They demonstrate an innate ability to balance academics and somehow weave it into projects! When it comes to parents they have a open door policy which makes me feel more like family rather than a number. Even though their staff is bilingual, THE INSTRIUCTION IS TAUGHT IN ENGLISH! YEAHHH! They don't stuff 30 or 40 children in a room with 3 or 4 teachers...they actually have some of the smallest class sizes ( I am sure exceeding state requirements) I have seen. They truly invest in my child as is evident by the playground having REAL GRASS! NOT SYNTHETIC! To call it a playground is being modest! I whole heartedly recommend Global Village Preschool to anyone who wants a preschool that puts the child first!
