All three of my children have attended Almand Center. It is a wonderful preschool! I loved that the teachers were educated in Early Childhood and that this school has been in Brandon for over thirty five years. The same teachers have been there for a long time and they have a very low turn over rate. Almand Center is a small school that does not have that chaotic environment like some of the chains in the area. My children were very prepared when they entered kindergarten. We often return to visit with the teachers!

I see others gave Almand Center glowing reviews but I had a different experience. My son went to the school for one year. They were nice to him but that's about all I can say. I don't feel that he learned much, especially for the amount of money they charge. I understand that this is a business but we often felt that we were being nickle and dimed to death. Also the staff would rush us if we tried to ask questions or talk to them. There was never a parent/teacher conference and the only way we knew how our child was doing was if he came home with a smiley face that day. If he didn't one, we knew there was a problem but never knew what the problem was. If we called, they rushed us off the phone. For the amount of money they charge, it should better

My oldest son attends the 4 year old class at the Almand Center. This is our very first school experience, and it could not be any better. We are 100% impressed with the school, the teachers, and the level of education that he is receiving. He is learning so much more than we even thought he would at such a young age. I can't wait for my other children to go to this school. I would highly recommend this school to anyone!

Both of my daughters attended Almand center. This school is one of the best pre schools in the area. The teachers are both well educated and sweet. The school has been in business since the 70's they know what they are doing.

Mt granddaughter started at Almand Center when she was two. She is now completing her K-4 year and it has been a wonderful experience. The staff is always friendly. The quality of academics is exceptional. I look forward to her starting kindergarten in the fall, knowing she will be among the most prepared students in the class.

As a former teacher myself, I have nothing but good things to say about The Almand Center. I was a bit put off in the beginning, but now know that their procedures and rules are in place because after 30 plus years, they know kids! I am especially impressed with a new teacher, Ms. Wendy. While I don't agree with everything that happens at school, I could not ask for a better learning environment for my daughter.

I love this school. They are very experienced and organized. They just have it down pat. At the same time they understand that children learn through play and not by just rote and repetition. My children are taken care of emotionally and learning as well. They love their social studies from Miss Cheryl. Most importantly they respect each child as an individual. Don't let all of the rules put you off. These teachers love kids and are great.
