First Steps does have a beautiful facility and great outdoor space, however the teachers always seemed stressed out and irritated with the children. This was a surprise to us compared to our daughter's last daycare where the teachers seemed to love their jobs and treated the children with respect. The teachers would often yell at the children and openly talk about the trouble kids in front of everyone. Even though my daughter was not one of the trouble makers, this was very awkward and not the right way to handle these repeated situations. This is not the environment that I want my child in, especially after paying so much money. Positives about this facility is that they do some good learning projects and the teachers seem good on the instructional part, but I demand both this and good disciplinary practices in a high quality daycare.

My kids are enrolled in this daycare. We moved our kids from other daycare when kids were over 18 months so I can't speak for infant care experience. Overall, excellent center for the following reasons: steady teachers (employed for quite some time), good teachers (they communicate to parents and utilize effective ways to teach kids), VERY few closure days in the winter. In fact, this facility never closes, so if you need reliable center, this is the place you need! When I drop off my kids, they automatically blend in and start playing-no issues or separation anxiety. When I pick up my kids, I find out they learned something new every day: new words, letters, games, puzzles...Really great feeling after a long day of work.
