I feel taking away holidays and other celebrations takes away from the school experience. Instead of taking them away, give them all of them. For example, give them Christmas, hanaka, and kwanzaa. Teach them about all of them, then everyone has their turn at sharing their traditions and no one is offended.
This is one of the best schools i have seen in a while and they care about the students and ther familey.
