The Montessori School of Madison has beautiful program. The staff are so experienced and nurturing. Both my daughters truly enjoyed their classroom experience and would run into the building on a regular basis. The space is open and bright. The activities provided for the children are thoughtful and unique (like the one-way glass bird feeder so children can view the birds in the reading area). They also were diligent and proactive about managing both my daughter's serious food allergies, which was critically important to us. We can not say enough good things about our experience at Madison Montessori.
Both my sons have attended this school and we cannot say enough nice things about it .The school teaches anda encourages independence, self-confidence and social skills. Academically, my sons have learned so much. And ,most importantly, they have had the experience of loving school. The teachers are great - very experienced and supportive.
My daughter attended this school for two years; she loved it. We were all very impressed with their teachers (especially in the afternoon program) and the materials the children used. My daughter went on to a more expensive private school for 1st grade but she already knew most of the curriculum. This school is small, friendly and gives children the best possible start for their education. We highly recommend it.
I wish my children could stay with this school longer! The teachers are wonderful, and each child gets plenty of individual attention. Special lessons and activities are created to cater to students' unique interests and learning styles. My son has been at the Montessori School of Madison for two preschool years (2005-2007), but now we must relocate. We consider ourselves lucky to have been able to have those two years, and wonder how to follow such a great act. At the school, academic goals are high, but more importantly to my family were the lessons on working together in a peaceful community, inspiring a love of learning, instilling an appreciation of the arts, and exploring the wonder of nature. My son came out of the school confident, knowing that there is value to the topics that interest him, and believing that his potential to learn and grow is infinite!
