HCAMS as parents know it is a better alternative to regular pre-school. Children learn independently at their own pace. I sent two children to the school over a 6 year period and was very satisfied, and my children well adjusted and have excelled in public school. A problem in the last couple years has been with high teacher and staff directorship turnover. This had led to some instability in the program I noted with my second child. I think some of the things which first inspired me to have my child there changed and the 2005 and earlier program was better directed. There is a new staff in place now, and they are working on accreditation program for the school. If the new staff and teachers stay together, organize, re-energize with creativity this school has the potential to be great again.
This is a marvelous school with a very caring and creative faculty. The cirriculum is rigorous and student centered. Parent involvement is encouraged and teachers are always accessible. Courtesy and peer relations are stressed.
