My daughters attended Young Peoples until we were forced to leave to go to Kindergarten (3 years for one and 2 years for the other). We LOVED this school - from our first visit before we attended when they watched, wide-eyed, the laughter and fun in the large outdoor play area and playground, to our last when there were tears saying goodbye. They have some of the lowest staff turnover anywhere I've seen - with the result that the teachers are experienced, committed and working in a place that supports them doing what they love - caring for and teaching children. My kids emerged from this school academically and socially prepared for kindergarten. Most importantly, my children learned from YPLC to love school and love learning.
Our daughter loved two years at YPLC and we did too. We'd visited other schools, but from the moment we entered the YPLC "blue house", saw the big playground and met its teachers, we knew we had found the right place. YPLC's owners are present everyday and know every child's name. The staff has a remarkable stability, given the turnover in many pre-schools. It's clear they love their work and their students. YPLC's curriculum was well-thought out, innovative and age appropriate. Gently ramping up from day-care for the smallest children to preparation for more formal classroom environments, YPLC was a great preparation for our daughter's first day of kindergarten. She has gone back twice for YPLC's summer program. As a parent chaperones on several fieldtrips, I was impressed with YPLC staff s combination of high levels of organization and commitment to safety with a gentle but firm approach to discipline.
Fantastic! This school helps your kid to learn everything from abcs to physical activities like swimming or just a simple game like tag while having fun, Not only that but the teachers are amazing too.
My daughter has been at Young Peoples Learning Center since she was a year old. We have been at the center on Mathews and Plum. Every teacher has been wonderful to my daughter! She has learned so much and can spell her name, count to 10 in spanish, count to almost 50 in english, etc. I am very pleased with the centers and would recommend YPLC to anyone!
Young Peoples has been a fantastic daycare and preschool for our children. Our son was very well prepared socially and academically entering kindergarten and our daughter absolutely loves attending every day. The teachers are very trusting and dedicated and we definitely owe each one of them a great debt of graditude and appreciation for all they do. The activities they teach involve a great balance of playtime and learning and we are very pleased.
We work hard every day to provide high quality education to children ages 1 - 15. Each child's individual personality is treasured, each child is taught respect through positive role modeling and each classroom has high quality teachers who are given the support needed to suceed with every child. We are the oldest privately owned childcare in Fort Collins and are proud of what we have been able to offer families for the last 32 years.
A great school! The layout of the classroom are very well-organized and the teachers now how to work with children very well! My kids have been to a couple of places and this center beats all of them hands down!
I love this school!! Our son has been going since he was 18 months old. The teachers are creative and well educated. I have always felt well informed about my child's progress. The staff truly cares about the kids and it shows!
