My granddaughter attended Montessori School of Aurora and she learned to read there. It is an excellent school that teaches a full curriculum of Language, Math, Science, Cultural Studies, etc. The teachers are very caring and always there to listen to any concerns. I think the negative reviews may be confusing the Montessori School of Aurora (on Smoky Hill Road) with a different Montessori school in Aurora.

my son attended this school for a year and a half, I kept hoping it would get better. It only became worse! This school is very crowded, and does not have the staff to handle all the children it has, the teachers do care but are not engaged enough, they hope that the children can just grab a Montessori work station and pick it up, I could go on and on, about this school. But I wont, email me for any questions, I found RMA, Renaissance Montessori Academy, little more of a drive but hands down I feel this school is one of the best in Denver, and it was recommended by Denver University, this school took my son whom is very active and has strong personality!, and he comes home tired just about every day. They teach the work stations and make sure they complete the station which is a part of the Montessori philosophy, never done at Montessori School of Aurora. They also have a art studio where the reinforce the class room exercises, no bullying or bad behavior on the play ground at RMA, which i can not say for MSA. i hope this helps someone.

Our 2 daughters went here for a combined 5 years and did very well. They learned things that I know are not taught in regular pre-k and k programs. I would recommend MSA to anyone for their children.

This School has provided my children the very best foundation we could have ever hoped for. I have benefited greatly from the expertise of both the owner and the individual teachers who guided me and my boys through the ups and downs of early education. My children spent three and four years getting the best education I could have hoped for. My only concern is that it left very high standards for all of their future education. I, would, and have strongly recommended this school to anyone wanting the very best in early child education.

Both of my children attend MSA over a combined duration of 6 years. Our experience was excellent!!! MSA thought them independence, self-confidence, and respect for others. The teachers were incredibly caring and provided a stimulating child oriented learning environment. Currently, they attend a private school that is heavily academic focused. With the excellent preparation from MSA, they have performed exceptionally well, in such that teachers from their school have visited MSA to enquire about its program, giving that all of the kids that came from MSA are outstanding. I can unequivocally state that MSA and our involvement as parents laid the foundation for great success. Strongly recommend MSA!!!

After much searching and investigating we placed our daughter into Montessori of Aurora at the age of 2 1/5. For the next 3 years we drove 15 miles a day, passing many other schools that she could have gone to, and have never had any regrets. She received a very thorough and loving education and care the entire time that she was at the school. She developed into a very well rounded person that has the confidence to assume any task she sets her mind to. After many long talks with the staff at MSA we applied for admittance into Quest K-8 in Aurora Colorado which is now the top rated school in the state and she was accepted. After1 1/2 months she was tested and is reading at an advanced 2nd grade level and has very strong basics in all other classes. Thanks to MSA she has a very bright future.

Our experience with MSA over the last 4 years has been great. Both of our kids started in the toddler program and our son completed the Kindergarten program last year and our oldest daughter is currently enrolled in the Kindergarten program. It is important to us as PARENTS to take an active role in our children s education and social being and we do this by helping with homework, reading, attending the parent/teacher conferences, making sure our kids arrived at school on time, going on field trips and attending classroom programs/parties and building a relationship with their teachers. All of these things are important to us and the MSA team. Our kids learning styles and personalities are different and both have been very successful in the MSA program. MSA is a school and not a day care. We have and will continue to recommend MSA. The owners, teachers, and staff are FANTASTIC.

I'm very disappointed in this school! They did not lay a good foundation for our child. She is behind her peers as a result. She attended this school from age 3-6 including their Advanced Kindergarten . When she was moved into 1st grade at the public school, we were told she needed to repeat Kindergarten. It s hard to explain to your child they need to repeat Kindergarten after going through a Kindergarten graduation ceremony and being told we re moving her into a new school for first grade. I agree with the other parent who posted this is more of a daycare then a school. I felt the owner is a great salesperson but doesn t follow through of her promises. Our child left the school not being able to read and she didn t know all her sounds. She was deficient in math as well.

My two children attended Montessori of Aurora for preschool, kindergarten, and Summers. I chose this school and stayed with this school because of the individualized and personal approach to teaching. The other centers I toured all seemed to teach in a rote, prescribed way. ('This week we're learning about the letter F and the color red.') My kids, like all kids, needed support and instruction according to their specific abilities and needs. The staff genuinely care about the children and their families. My kids were able to learn at their own pace with good support, and excelled as a result. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this school to anyone.

Our son attended MSA and loved it! We were amazed one night to hear him singing a song naming the seven continents, and he is reading at a higher level than we ever expected at his age. In addition to academics, it is also important to us that the teachers are loving and greet our child warmly when he comes in the door. We could not have been happier with this school!
