Our family has some experience at a few Ventura preschools (BFC, Children's World and Sonshine). When we came to Sonshine Preschool we realized the "the grass is greener". The Sonshine staff is wonderful and well educated on current research and practices in early childhood education. The teachers take care of students' individual needs and work as a professional team. They strive to guide the children through learning and through Christian values and actions. The entire school participates in charitable events such as "Soles for Souls" shoe collection and a fundraiser for the Heifer Organization (provides livestock to families in 3rd world countries).The facility is clean with creatively planned spaces and bathrooms for students are easily accessed. The director is a great leader and provides monthly newsletters to keep families well informed. The classes attend chapel once a month and my daughter often tells us new bible stories she has learned. Sonshine Preschool is a fantastic environment in which my child can learn to love learning, feel safe and loved and make new friends.
