Children's Circle Nursery

All three of my children went here and I frankly do not know what I would have done with their knowledge about children and parenting. They made you think about things in a different perspective. Once you did, you couldn't imagine why it didn't occur to you earlier. I remember going to a birthday party at a kid's gyn. One of the teachers at this studio asked another parent if these kids were from Children Circle. She said yes. The gym teacher said, "I knew it. Kids from Children Circle always play so differently and well together. I love it when they are in my class." Your kids will flourish there. When they graduate, their certificate states: "Bobby has graduated from Children's Circle because he has learned to play with other children." After all, that's what it's all about in this world... that we all learn how to get along.

I still feel this was a more important decision than what grammer school our children would attend. It's the warm, family friendly type of place that makes you want to have another child after you are through here, just to experience again. I swallowed the Kool-Aid!

If you believe that pre-school should be all about academics, this isn't the place for you. CCNS is a developmental pre-school teaching kids how to communicate and how to work as part of a community and I couldn't imagine a better education for a 3 - 6 year old. The classes are mixed ages so the little ones learn from the older ones and the older ones learn how to deal with the little ones. It's an amazing community and feel very lucky to have had a chance to be a part of it personally and for my child.

I can't imagine a better place for my children. There is not only a strong emphasis on social and emotional development but the skill of the teachers and administration goes way beyond what one would expect. The director has over 35 years of experience and draws from all sorts of educational and developmental philosophies. They offer topical/informational chats with the parenty monthly, do home visits if desired or needed and have a great understanding of the mind of the child...and the parent. I recently found out the director is helping the parents prepare a child for an upcoming surgery. It is still months off but he is working with the entire family to reduce the stress as much as possible beforehand. I know of no other school like it and my children have thrived. I wish they went all of the way through high school!
