Southwood Pre-School

I'm very happy with Southwood. They've helped my daughter become immensely more independent and self-confident. It's a nuturing environment where kids learn to play and work better together. Learning is done while having fun - she had to memorize several lengthy songs for the holiday show, which she did (I was totally surprised), and she can now write her name (at 3), and comes home with worksheets and learning-oriented craft projects every day. The teachers are pleasant and seem happy. The few questions/concerns I've had were considered with respect and resolved promptly. Overall great experience!

This is an AMAZING preschool and my son LOVES Southwood! We looked at many others, which did not even compare. There was a waitlist but we managed to get the days we wanted. There's a reason this school has a waitlist! I am happy with the curriculum, the teachers and the professionalism of the staff. There are so many activities for the kids and I couldn't be happier with the school!

I am a elementary school teacher and I think that this is the BEST pre-school around. My son absolutely loves it! The teachers and staff are great and everyone is so friendly. There are so many extras that make it feel like a true school community. Southwood goes above and beyond my expectations as a parent.

Love the concept just not the execution. Unfortunately, my child was told he was a bad boy and had to do time out in the corner of the room. I asked the asst. director if this is normal discipline - she said yes! Outta here. Just can't recommend it.

I love southwood and all extra supplemental classes. Great play area. Very clean. Staff is wonderful. They have great hours. My little girl is learning a lot. Cons: Food could be healthier and long wait to get into the class up.

I love Southwood Preschool! Their staff has almost no turnover! The same great teachers are there every year. My kids have all had the same teachers, over an eight year span! They have lots of extra supplementary programs available in addition to their strong learning curriculum. They have ballet, karate, gymnastics, & computers! My kids loved it there & I loved that I got to know the teachers so well after all three kids went through!
