It's expensive, but Ms. Jennifer (the 2nd/3rd grade teacher) did a great job with our son. Be prepared to pay for all the extracurriculars, though - the activity fee doesn't cover anything, even field trips.

My son is in the K/1 split class and he's doing great. He's already very interested in school so this is a really good fit for him. He's challenged and can work at his own level which is currently the second/third grade level. Academically it's strong and the school offers quite a few extracurricular activities (although one does have to pay extra.) However, the fact that they are offered at school avoids having to drive all over town going to different classes (karate, art, chess, music, etc.) We considered moving him to a public school in the Fall, but feel that the small classes, individualized attention and ability to work above grade level are too important to give up. Parent involvement is somewhat limited from what I've seen, but there is good turnout for the kids' presentations and events.

The academic programs at Montessori of oaks are excellent. Kids can learn based upon their ability. Music and arts programs are provided. Parents involvements are welcomed but not required.
